Day 4 of National Nursing Home Week was a total BLACK OUT! Staff dressed in black and residents were ready to party for Black Out Bingo. IDs were checked at the door, glow bracelets lit up the room and bingo was played under the sparkle of a disco ball! We also took some time to wish our Administrative Intern, Hunter, well. Today he completed his internship and will be graduating this weekend. We wish you all the best, Hunter!!

Day 2 of National Nursing Home Week we celebrated "Fancy Pants Tuesday!" This gave staff and residents a chance to glam it up a little. We celebrated with mocktails and a few other special treats. The highlight of the day was a dance, with special DJ, The Rockman. Moments like these remind us how special our community truly is and how important it is to create meaningful memories together.

Congratulations to this month's Kindness Karma winner, Karla Puebla!

Karla is a CNA at Hammond Health Services, and day in and day out, her kindness and positivity shine through. She is kind to everyone around her, staff and residents alike. Karla was nominated by a co-worker who says “Karla embodies teamwork. She’s quick to help her fellow CNAs, and she keeps her smile and positivity no matter what.” It’s easy to see when you meet Karla how genuine she is and how much she cares about others.
