I thought this was so nice, and it always makes me feel good when my book has helped someone that I may never get to meet in person. In fact, the biggest reward I get from my book business is knowing that my books have helped people all over the world. It's such a great feeling.

Today was a crazy day at the office, we had so many patients and honestly, I was completely exhausted from it.

But at the end of the night, a patient of mine came in. She's a young teenager, and when she first came to me, she suffered with severe plantar fasciitis in both of her feet.

Her feet would swell to the point where she couldn't put her shoes on. She was walking so poorly that it was causing her to have pain in both of her knees and lower back as well.

Today was her last visit in her treatment plan (I treated her for 12 visits total and I had a pair of custom orthotics made for her shoes).

She brought this chocolate in to thank me for helping her, and she said, "I don't know if you eat chocolate, but I wanted to thank you for helping me."

I was like, twist my arm lol.

The swelling in her feet went down completely after about 6 visits, and she told me that she went down 2 shoe sizes because of the difference in the size of her feet without the swelling.

Her and her mom were so thrilled, and although that piece of chocolate may not mean much to most people, for me it was a reminder of why I work so hard.

It meant a lot to me, and it was just a reminder of the difference I get to make in people's lives and how amazing it feels to get to be a small part of their healing process.
