Before the snow starts piling up, the Hammonton Fire Department reminds residents to prepare now and take a few simple steps to keep yourself, your family, and our community safe.

To keep our roads clear and our community safe, ALL vehicles MUST be removed from public streets once snow begins to accumulate.
π Home Safety Tips:
βοΈ Clear entryways and exits β Shovel and salt walkways, steps, and doors so they can be opened easily in an emergency. A blocked exit can cost precious time.
βοΈ Use space heaters safely β Keep at least 3 feet of clearance and never leave them unattended.
βοΈ Never use generators or grills indoors β This can lead to deadly carbon monoxide exposure.
βοΈ Test smoke alarms & CO detectors β Make sure theyβre working properly.

β’ Keep hydrants visible and accessible, every second counts during an emergency.
