Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

A sincere thank you to all of the veterans from VFW Post 9397 Hampden for the beautiful and meaningful Memorial Day tribute today. Your dedication, honor, and commitment to keeping the memories of our fallen heroes alive is truly appreciated.

Thank you for reminding our community of the true meaning of Memorial Day and for continuing to serve with such pride and respect.

⚠️ Parade Update ⚠️
Due to the current forecast calling for inclement weather, and for the safety of our parade participants and spectators, we have made the difficult decision to cancel today's parade.

We WILL still be holding our Memorial Day Ceremony at 11:00 AM at the Hampden Fire Department, located at 19 North Rd, Hampden, MA 01036.

We hope to see you there as we come together to Honor and Remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation.

⚠️ WEATHER UPDATE ⚠️
There is currently a 77% chance of rain, but we will NOT make a cancellation decision until Monday morning. If the parade is canceled, the Ceremony will still be held at 11:00 AM at the Hampden Fire Department.

🇺🇸 Pat Ledoux VFW Post 9397 & The Town of Hampden invite you to our Annual Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony! 🇺🇸

Come out this Monday, May 25th and Honor & Remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our great nation!
📍 Parade steps off at 10:00 AM Saint Mary's Parish Parking Lot — 27 Somers Rd, Hampden
🚶 The parade travels down Somers Road, turns right onto Main Street, and ends at the Veterans Memorial at Town Center (1.6 miles total)
🎖️ The Memorial Day Ceremony follows the parade at Town Center, highlighted by the Laying of the Wreath at the Veterans Memorial.
