🍷 Happy Red Wine Day! ❤️🩺
Let’s toast—to heart health and healthy habits.

Some studies suggest that moderate red wine consumption may support heart health due to antioxidants like resveratrol. But remember:

✅ Moderation is key
– Up to 1 glass/day for women
– Up to 2 glasses/day for men

❌ Too much alcohol can increase the risk of:
🚫 High blood pressure
🚫 Liver disease
🚫 Certain cancers
🚫 Depression & anxiety

Cheers to making informed choices! If you have questions about alcohol and your health, we’re here to help.

📞 Schedule a wellness visit to talk with your provider.

🕯️ National Fentanyl Prevention & Awareness Day
📅 August 21

Today, we stand with families and communities affected by the fentanyl crisis.

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid — just 2 milligrams can be deadly. Many people are exposed unknowingly through counterfeit pills or contaminated substances.

💡 What you should know:
✔️ Fentanyl is involved in a growing number of overdose deaths
✔️ It can be mixed into pills, powders, or street drugs without detection
✔️ Naloxone (Narcan) can reverse opioid overdoses and save lives
✔️ Education and prevention are key

🩺 As your primary care team, we’re here to support prevention through education, mental health care, and substance use treatment resources.

🩺 August is Psoriasis Action Month! 💬

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition that causes the body to produce skin cells too quickly. This buildup leads to red, scaly patches, often on the elbows, knees, scalp, or lower back. It’s not contagious, but it can be uncomfortable and impact quality of life.

🔹 Common symptoms include:
• Itchy or painful skin patches
• Dry, cracked skin that may bleed
• Nail changes or joint pain (in psoriatic arthritis)

While there’s no cure, effective treatments are available—from topical creams to light therapy and medications. If you think you may have psoriasis or need help managing it, we’re here to support you.

👉 Let’s take action together this August.
