This week in speech we packed our bags and went on an imaginary road trip for the holiday! 🧳👋🏼

Using books like The Bag I’m Taking to Grandma’s and playful props—suitcases, passports, a cooler, and a whole car full of figurines—we practiced vocabulary, choral reading, sequencing, turn-taking, story retell, asking questions, and much, much more. 🧠 📕

Our clients loved planning their trips, choosing what to pack, and helping the Playmobil family hop in the car to go. Safe travels to all of those who are hitting the road this Thanksgiving! 🚙🏡

Halloween story time fun! 🎃👻 Happy Halloween!

Books like Big Pumpkin make reading come alive — and they’re amazing for language practice, too!
✨ We love to:
🧙‍♀️ Act out the story
🧛‍♂️ Use silly voices
🦇 Talk about what’s happening (“The mummy is pulling!”)
🎃 And guess what will happen next!

Interactive books help kids build vocabulary, sequencing, and confidence — all while having a spook-tacular time! 💬💜

🎃👻 Friendly Halloween Reminder! 👻🎃

Not every child will say “trick-or-treat” or “happy Halloween” out loud — and that’s OK! 💬

Some kids use gestures, pictures, devices, or smiles to communicate. However they share their excitement, they’re doing their best and deserve patience, kindness, and encouragement. 👍🏼

Let’s make this Halloween fun and inclusive for all our little ghouls and goblins! 🧡
