The ability to build true partnerships with others is to first be comfortable and accepting of yourself. It means nurturing the places that are bruised and scared. It means taking account and healing the parts of you that have caused pain, bruises, and scars to be left on others.

Solitude makes you deal with your personal demons. It is your dark night that will either illuminate you or devour you depending on whether or not you give into your fears.

Solitude gives you the space to love yourself, to reconnect, to reclaim your energy, your center, and your peace.

Solitude gives you the space to become your best self.

With all things, solitude should be done in moderation so that you do not lose yourself and become disconnected from the world.

Time to cut cords you didn't know you had. It's time to cut the ones you're gripping to that you have long needed to let go of. Time to let go of the ones you hold for others because they told you to even though you knew it did not benefit you. Time to let go of the cords that harm you and your peace of mind.

The first time I set up an ofrenda was with Darlene Stienstra Steier many years ago. Eventually I set up a community one in my home and was honored to become the carrier the ancestoral stories ot Tess Amoruso and her husband. Stories that I still share to this day. Time passed, and life and my spiritual practice came to a screening halt.

Today is the first time in many years that I set one up. It was obviously meant for me to start again as I was happy and humming as I put it together. It didn't feel like a chore. This evening, I came home and lit candles for my adopted ancestors. Again, it didn't feel like a chore. It feels good to finally be getting back into my practice.

Found these little drawers at Dollar Tree. Great for holding intentions, prayers, intentions, and petitions on your altar. I picked the rose for my ancestor altar since the womenbin my family grew roses.

This keeps them safe, organized, and easy to access when you want to read them during your workings.
