💜 Alzheimer’s Walk + Birthday Social Recap

We had a beautiful day for our Alzheimer’s Walk here at Waterview! 💜☀️

Residents, staff, and volunteers - including students from Hampton University - all joined in to walk, support, and raise awareness for a cause that means so much to us. The energy, the smiles, the sense of community… it was truly heartwarming.

And the day didn’t stop there - the walk was followed by a Birthday Social to celebrate our October birthdays! 🎉🥳 Big thanks to our Activity Department for coordinating such a thoughtful and well-organized event from start to finish.

To everyone who helped, participated, pushed a wheelchair, handed out treats, or simply showed up - thank you. You made today extra special. 💜

From Spirit Week themes (Motown Monday to Freaky Friday!) to our pumpkin decorating contest, Fall Bingo, and Trunk-or-Treat for staff kids and residents — there’s something for everyone to enjoy. 💃🏾🧙‍♀️🎨🍭

🎉 Annual Skills Fair Success! 🩺💡

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing staff who participated in this year’s Skills Fair! Your energy, curiosity, and commitment to learning were felt in every station. From falls, elopement, wound care, emergency preparedness, infection control to customer service and residents rights—each board was packed with great info and creativity. 💬📚

Special shoutout to our department managers and educators who worked behind the scenes to make sure materials were prepped, stations were set up, and questions were answered. You made it happen! 🙌👏

We’re proud of the teamwork and dedication that was shown—and most importantly, how everyone came together to keep our residents safe and well cared for. ❤️

We couldn’t miss the chance to celebrate our incredible rehab team during National Rehabilitation Awareness Week!

From physical therapy to occupational and speech therapy, these amazing professionals help our residents gain strength, independence, and confidence every single day. 💪🏾💙

We surprised them with some goodies and new shirts to show just how much we appreciate their hard work and heart. Thank you, therapy squad, for making a difference every step of the way!

🌞 Late post from a bright day filled with good vibes and even better food!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Jessica’s Lutong Bahay food truck to Waterview, and let’s just say… the lumpia was everything! 😍

Our team got to enjoy some amazing Filipino flavors right outside the front door — a perfect food to break up the day and bring some smiles.

Thank you to Jessica and her crew for the delicious food and friendly service — we hope to see you again soon!
