You can tell I was hurting because I suddenly lost all care around my appearance (unlike me 😅 it’s possible I’m a little vain)

Turns out I do slowly lose my mind being trapped inside for too long.

I feel like I have to state: if you are allergic to adhesives, don’t use KT tape. If you do use KT tape get it wet in the shower to remove do not rip it off “like a bandaid”, you skin come go right with it.

Yes, I use KT tape. Had a mentor show me some magical ways a long time ago and I now blow patients minds daily utilizing it 😂 leave me be.

Pain: 5.5/10
Transfers are the hardest. So is sneezing and laughing.

I’ve had to watch very serious movies like the 2019 version of little women. Big Timothée Chalamet fan…

Some shoe BS. Don’t worry though, the journey continues.

I saw this quote on another clinician’s page and had to share. It mirrored the conversation I have with new patients every week.

My patients come in gaslit by other professionals and with a fear that they are stuck in pain for the remainder of their lives. Some come in saying they fully accept that belief, that pain is permanently apart of their life!

This is why speak on the importance of desiring to be better. I nurture my patients back into good physical health but it has become even more detrimental to nurture them back to good mental health as well.

Learning never ends and no one can know it all, but keeping the drive to learn to best help and heal our patients is something we should all be held responsible for. It’s why I chose to expand into offering my own educational system for professionals. I can’t make people want to be better but at least I can offer a helping hand.

LIVE COMING!!

pulled out of Olympia for recurring clerical issues limiting her ability to train. Sending all the good energy her way!! ❤️‍🩹

We will review what we know of her chronic issue but let’s take a peek at that poor airway.

🩺 Most clinicians start drilling the chin tucks and hears a very obvious reason and why I haven’t had any patient complete a chin tuck in these conditions in YEARS. Blocking an airway when she has so little airway to begin with is a no for me.

Looking posteriorly the use of a chin tuck still makes zero sense to me..

Patient was “diagnosed” with posterior tibial tendon dysfunction, told she needs to be in this brace or she will be unable to walk one day and may need surgery…

Um.. 🧐. I don’t think posterior tib is the issue here.

Let’s try to focus on more WHYs and less WHATs

Pt has a variety of custom orthotics, none of which address anything at the heel and have zero flexibility. In fact they lock her even more stuck in the position she is living in, in the above photo.

(Oh, most of this patients pain is along the lateral aspect. No reports of pain along tendon, origin or insertion
