Sorry I haven’t posted on here in awhile. Time just got away. After the last post things had gotten better and was doing really well. On Thursday I had a kidney appt and things were not good. I was sent to the U of I emergency room because my potassium was critically low. I was there for 8 hrs with the dr deciding if I should get an infusion or drink this potassium stuff. They decided that I need to drink the potassium which by the way was the nastiest stuff ever!! How ever it worked and got it back up. I did have some other low levels but there going to watch those. As for my kidney, my creatnine is up to 3.0 and my GFR ( kidney function) is a 19. Both not good. They have referred me to the transplant team to start the process of getting another kidney. At this point right now, waiting on the approval from my insurance to move to the next step. I will update here once I have more details for anyone who wants to follow my journey. ❤️

Have an appt on the 23rd to have labs drawn again to see where things are. I will still be going to U of I on the 31st for the evaluation. Will update with labs results.

Did some research as I was not real sure on. A single kidney function for a good working kidney is about 70%. 15% is kidney failure and I am sitting at 22% as of about a month ago. I have inquired about doing lab work again before my U of I appt just to see where I am at right now. So will see.
