Not gonna lie every time I notice a shift in myself (especially in how I handle my biggest triggers… ahem, my kids and husband) I secretly want an award.

Can the heavens just open up and shout, “Well done, you’ve leveled up as a human!” 😂

But I’m not “better” than anyone else just because I didn’t lose my sh*t.

I just feel better in my own body.

But it takes f*cking time and effort.

If you need the reminder keep going.

It’s worth it.

But the results aren’t instantaneous (no matter how much we wish they were).

Two years ago, I couldn’t handle snuggling my girls without freaking the f*ck out. My body would tense. My skin would crawl. The ick was instant.

Now, I wake up to little bodies racing into my bed to snuggle me awake and end the day tangled up with them on the couch and it couldn’t make me happier.
