In celebration of Veterans Day, join us for the 8th annual 4Star4Mile Race in Corktown on Sunday, November 5, 2023. The race starts at the corner of Trumbull and Porter Streets.

This is a charitable event with proceeds going to the Metropolitan Detroit Veterans Coalition (MDVC), the sponsors of the annual Detroit Veterans Day Parade.

Our 4-mile race is the only race in the country that runs alongside of the Veterans Day Parade, on the same course, at the same time.

In honor of Veterans Day, we will be honoring veterans during a ceremony at the State Capitol on Nov. 10 from 9:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. in Heritage Hall (State Room North) at 100 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing, MI 48933. The public is welcome to attend.
Remarks will be led by U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul D. Rogers, adjutant general and director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs; MVAA Director Zaneta Adams; Rachel Wade, a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army and MVAA Buddy-to-Buddy Coordinator for Wayne, Oakland and Macomb County; and Michigan State Representative Terry Sabo. The ceremony will include a posting of the colors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) State Honor Guard with the National Anthem performed by Maj. Daniels with the Belmont Armory 126th Army Band.
