☀️Summer fun often means time spent at the pool or beach, which means water and sweat—but moisture and hearing aids don’t mix.

While some modern devices offer water and sweat resistance, most
are not waterproof.

Here’s How to Enjoy the Season Safely:
➡️ Always remove hearing aids before swimming or showering
➡️ Store devices in a dry, shaded area
➡️ Use a protective cover or hearing aid sleeve if you might get splashed
➡️ Invest in a drying system to remove moisture overnight
➡️ Avoid direct exposure to sunscreen sprays, which can clog
microphone ports

In an interview posted on Yahoo News about hearing loss being linked to dementia, Dr. Rebecca Younk, Audiologist at Beltone Eau Claire, said staying aware of your hearing can be key to staying on top of things:
