At 13- years-old I had a ticking time bomb sitting in my chest.

6 months of chemo and
2 weeks of radiation later
That diffused bomb became that catalyst to a big beautiful life

I went into the world of skydiving

When my internal instinct for self-preservation (aka FEAR) kicked in I could rationalize how I almost died sitting around watching T.V.

Years later I ran for city council...Came in last place

Then ran again...Won by a landslide

I failed forward, knowing that losing was not the worst thing that could happen to me.

Now I’m building something bigger than myself.

Blending my past experiences, my passion to do things differently, and trainings in fitness, nutrition, and behavior change to guide others into building their own big beautiful lives.

Minimal workouts with results that look like you’re doing the most.

Nutrition that isn’t confusing or restrictive

Mindset work that turns stop and start cycles into a continuous loop of leveling up

Of all the crazy things I’ve been able to accomplish and overcome in my life, helping you improve your health and your confidence to hold onto it for a lifetime would be the wildest.

I could hear her frustration:

“I even put the snacks in a different cupboard, up high where I have to climb to get them.”

But she was still losing the battle with cravings.

Others may have told her
..just try harder..tell your husband to get rid of his snacks..it’s ok, you’ll get it next week..be more disciplined

But for me, it’s about getting curious and offering some insights

We talked about her recent lab work, and it showed issues with blood sugar, which impacts cravings.

We talked about supplements that would ease her stress

We talked protein and how it would keep her full

Armed with more knowledge and a confidence boost in herself, she figured it out

She froze fat-free Greek yogurt mixed with sugar-free jell-o to make herself easy, sweet treats that were also higher in protein.

That solution was unique to her, and she was in empowerment discovering it for herself after some guidance.

I could've told her exactly what to do, but I also know it only works if she could see it working thru her own lens.

This is how we find lasting solutions, motivation, and discipline.

I also have a FREE guide to help you get there called The Invisible Effort Method.

You can find it in the bio.

BONUS it'll lead you to my Consistency Reset Guide as well.

This is your reminder that getting some morning sunlight, taking breaks in nature, and practicing gratitude are FREE 'biohacks'.

The million and one things you can do to decrease stress can be stressful in and of itself. Yet these 3 things hit biological cravings instantly. And they're free.

And before I had nature sitting right outside my door, I would put beautiful looped videos of ocean waves, creeks, or bonfires up on Netflix.

We also DIYed a small pond right outside our front door, so when we opened the windows we could hear water flowing.

Point being, get creative if you must, but don't deprive yourself of life's simple, free pleasures.

Your health thrives when you keep them present.

She sat across from me and asked with indignation, "Why do you feel the need to get in shape? Doug loves you. I know my husband loves *my* body just the way it is."

The question wasn't about me, because I've always cared about my health, I was just becoming more diligent about it.

The question was about her. A person who had had weight loss surgeries and would scoff at getting dressed up because she didn't like how her dresses had started fitting.

A common issue - depending on your support network, many will say things to make you feel vain, lame, or even health obsessed. You don't have to say a thing and they will shine a flashlight on their own insecurities. They resent you for it.

I've lived it, and it doesn't feel good. Especially when I had to let people go.

Not just because of one-off comments, but because they started going out of their way to be hurtful, both thru their words and actions.

Becoming anchored into your 'why' is so much more than hitting daily steps and protein goals. It's how we navigate life and the unexpected things.

Back then, I had to figure it out for myself. But man, it would've felt good to have the kind of support I can now offer you.

Do you have a similar story?

I'm not what you'd expect from a coach, but then again, I've never been one to stick to the norm.

People think I'll have them drenched in sweaty workouts. Instead, they leave feeling more energetic.

Clients will sheepishly report that they had dessert after dinner. I tell them the plan supports that while giving them tricks that help fit in indulgences.

If someone tells me they had an 'off' week, they neither get scolded nor do I hype them up. I help them get curious about why they slipped and guide them to the best answers for THEM.

Mindset, workouts, and nutrition advice are all over the place these days, with not enough coaches truly understanding what true client support actually looks like.

But when you do find a coach that aligns with you, don't ask if you can afford their services. Do ask how different your life can look in just a few months:

Healthier.

Supported.

Nourished.

The version of you you've been desiring and didn't know you could be, both physically and mentally.

You don't need another coach telling you pain is weakness leaving the body, restricting your calories, and preaching discipline when life gets in the way - because they don't realize where discipline actually comes from.

But we all could use thoughtful support getting us through the muck and yuck on our way to living our best life. None of the lack, all of the abundance.

If that's your vibe, DM me MOTIVATION and we can chat.

Blue skies,
Kalish

Covered in champagne, I stood next to my best friend and campaign manager here. We had won! When no one thought we could, we did it... and by a landslide.

Over the next few years, I was in the public eye as a City Councilmember and Mayor, making decisions for a town of 60k people.

Towards the end, I was craving invisibility and respite.

It's been over a year since my family and I started a whole new chapter, in a whole new place. It's been restorative and magical, but now it's time to step up once again.

I've been revisiting the stories of my life, and a common thread keeps coming through: Grit

But Grit that's drenched in my 'why'.The driving force behind what motivates me and keeps me going, always pushing my own limits.

I am determined to share my voice, my leadership, and lessons in a mission to help as many people as possible.

To dig a well of motivation so deep you can't help but feel pulled to honor your health and wellbeing.

My goal by September '26 is to have 1k raving testimonials from people I've been honored to help.

Will you be one of them?

Why do we shy away from the heavy? Both emotional and physical?

Why do we shy away from the very things that make us stronger and more resilient?

I did two big exercises yesterday...

The first was at the gym, hip thrusting 185lbs at the *always* empty hip thrust station. Meanwhile, the little abduction machine, the one that can feel a little awkward if it's facing the wrong way (you know the one 🙃), is in CONSTANT use.

One grows the largest muscle group in the body (hence 185lbs), and the other is a simple and only gives you a fraction of the results the heavy hip thrust does.

The second thing I did was an exercise my mentor had me doing. It was a hard exercise in forgiveness.

I wrote letters to those who had hurt me, and in those letters, I found ways to forgive them for trespassing on my heart.

And then I burned them.

Both exercises left me feeling lighter, yet more resilient. They were hard and tested me.

Discipline comes from the motivation to become the best version of yourself. The version you desire.

But it comes with doing the hard stuff, both physically and mentally. Which is why I teach both.

If you want to just be told what exercises to do and what to eat, I'm not your girl.

If you want to understand what makes you *want* to be healthier and how to stick to it, even when life gets heavy, then I am your girl.

DM me HEAVY, and we'll talk.
