I'm bringing Miss Information to the forefront, and I'm doing it with a bob and wispy fringe

Do clients find me after they've been done dirty by the health and fitness industry? Yes.

Do I have a lot to say about it? Absolutely

But rather than do call out videos and put people on the spot that I believe think they're actually helping, I choose satire as an outlet.

We'll be going over the supplements that drain your wallets and your autonomy
The bad info that keeps getting circulated by people without credentials
And the worst of it, the experts who use their titles to obfuscate their way to fat bank accounts

You won't believe me because you're programmed to think more is better

But 'more' leads to burnout, frustration, and possible injury. Instead, we deload for recovery and to give us a mental break when our schedules don't align with gym time

When I introduce this to clients, and we make a plan, they feel excited to get back in the gym after a week off, instead of feeling like they failed themselves.

It's a reframe that actually keeps you on track and improves your health.

No love here for spending on time on things that drain your schedule make little impact when you cover the basics

1st thing you should do when losing weight and improving your health is increase your protein

2nd thing is start lifting weights and increase reps/weight each week for what we call progressive overload

These 2 things will outperform running, cycling, jumping from machine to machine, zumba, yoga, and that class with baby weights and step ups when it comes to fat loss

Sure you'll notice a changes in the first 2-3 months until your body adapts
And once results stall, so can your motivation

Building muscle is the fountain of youth and number one calorie burner across the board
And since that's the goal for most of us, let's start making weird faces in the gym and chowing down on protein

Don't take criticism from someone you wouldn't take advice from. Period. End of story.

I could probably teach a masterclass on remaining confident in the storm of dealing with nasty comments

I was bullied in school over my body
And then decided to go into politics for awhile where I was very much in the public eye

Instead of shrinking in those moments
You can stand tall and be the example for others still finding their voice and posture

My own resilience comes from a strong conviction of my own self-worth, knowledge of what I've overcome, and knowing I can rebuild a body that illness broke thru weights and nutrition

Remember, you have survived your own worst days
Keep going

Less than 1% of women can do as many as 10 chin-ups

And only an estimated 5-10% can do 1 single chin-up

I could barely do 3-4 a few months ago

Skinny doesn't give you this
Strength with strategic exercises get you here
And I'm not talking the assisted machine alone

Grip strength
Back strength for good posture
Core strength
And a little tenacity

I think we already fell for this one before
It landed us with wrecked hormones and a pooch

So, like, let's not do that again, m'kay?
I can move hundreds of pounds of weight
And am still only 115lbs

I'm over here actively trying to put on muscle
While people are still out there thinking getting jacked is a easy as looking at a 20lb dumbbell

We're not here to play small
To give up our resilience and longevity
The tight 40s, 50s, 60s, 70 year-old bodies out there have muscle

So let's get it right this time
And not fall back into the skinny trap

We're retiring "skinny is in"

If skinny drops work then
1) Why can't you eat pasta if it's not the restrictive diet they put you on that's creating results?
2) How can I continue seeing the scale to down of I'm both eating pasta AND not taking the drops while on their restrictive 1250 calories??

I am over 40, well into Perimenopause, and all my weight goes to my stomach (which they try to call "hormone belly")

I had someone from one of these companies try and tell me we're on the same side
We are not

Because the 80-95% of people who get on quick fix fat loss programs and protocols regain the weight within a couple years
And they have even less muscle mass and less confidence in their ability to keep off the weight
