A social worker with Adventist Health, Ann brought her trademark strength and optimism to her cancer diagnosis. Although breast cancer is part of her story, it does not define who she is. She is a sister, a wife, a mother of two — and she is more than breast cancer.

Ann took action when she felt a lump in her right breast. You can take control of your health too. Visit AdventistHealth.org/BreastHealth to schedule a mammogram today.

Cancer treatments have come a long way. According to Dr. Jekwon Yeh, modern chemotherapy is far more patient-friendly than it was in the past, with fewer side effects and better options for managing symptoms. Radiation therapy has also advanced, with oncologists now using precise 3D planning to minimize exposure and reduce toxicity. All of these advancements are creating safer, more effective care.

This week we celebrate 40 years of Spiritual Care Week, honoring the quiet strength and compassion of our chaplains who walk with people through life’s most sacred moments.

Like the ruby, this year’s symbol of resilience and inner light, our chaplains illuminate hope where others see darkness, bringing comfort, clarity, and healing to every encounter.

We're filled with gratitude for our chaplains and spiritual care partners who continue to live God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness, and hope. Happy Spiritual Care week!

Seen a report of your screentime lately? We’ve all been using our phones and computers more and more. And screentime use has its upsides: staying informed, entertained and connected with friends and family. But that can also cause an increase in depression, negative body image, poor-quality sleep and stress. Visit ahlink.org/3OpWFIT to learn how limiting the time you spend on your phone or computer can make you feel better.

Kim and her sister committed to receiving their regular screenings together. That act of comradery helped to detect her breast cancer and begin treatment to beat it. "Having your mammograms on a regular schedule could save your life. It saved mine," says Kim, who is a wife, mother, and an Adventist Health nurse. "The beauty is, I get to write my own story."

Together on World Mental Health Day, we raise awareness of mental health issues around the world.

One simple way to help care for your mental health is to take a moment for self-care. Even just pausing to take a few, focused breaths can help you feel more calm and centered. Follow along with us and use this video to guide your breath.

If you are experiencing challenges with your mental health, it can be overwhelming to know who to talk to or how to seek help. But there is hope. Talk to your healthcare provider about what you’re experiencing. They will be able to talk to you about treatments, support groups and resources to cope with mental illness. For more information on mental health services or to take a free depression risk assessment, visit ahlink.org/3maXJ5v.

If you or someone you know is struggling with depression or has had thoughts of harming themselves or taking their own life, contact 911 or the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline (Lifeline) at 988 or 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or visit ahlink.org/4bLiMDq.
