Essentia’s sports medicine team is proud to maintain partnerships with about 40 school and community organizations, or 250 teams, serving about 25,000 students across our service area.

Essentia Health and Fosston Public Schools are extending their sports medicine contract. The new, 10-year agreement builds on a successful partnership and marks a significant investment in the health and well-being of students in the community.

"Essentia is thrilled to collaborate with the City of Sandstone on this essential workforce-housing project, addressing a critical community need," says Sam Barney, administrator at Essentia-Moose Lake.

"By contributing to the revitalization of the historic Sandstone School, we're reinforcing our commitment to economic vitality and quality of life in a region we're proud to serve."

The building has been vacant since 2004 and should be move-in ready by July 2026.

Special thanks to members of Essentia Health’s Military & Veteran Colleague Connection Group for hosting the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) during a recent tour of St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota!

The sailors were in town as part of Navy Week activities in Duluth and were able to tour the 6th floor concourse/rooftop garden, the OR and the ED/Helipad.

The BUMED group is a decorated group of medical professionals, including an internal medicine provider in the medical corps, biochemist, dentist, nurse and a manager of Navy hospital corpsman.
