Lingraphica is the touchtalk tablet Elijah uses. It was covered by insurance. The process of approval was a little lengthy, but they send you a loaner device, and provide parent trainings on how to customize the device. After insurance approval they send you a permanent device and then you return the loaner one. It’s been so wonderful for our son.

The purpose of this page is to provide the community of caregivers and family members of severely autistic children with information on resources that are available.

I have also started a group, the link is in info for this page and is also included below. I want to give families a chance to share their stories about their struggles. Often times, we remain silent because of fear of criticism, being misunderstood, denial, or the fact that we think we can handle the weight of everything on our own.

Every month in our group(link below) I will highlight a different family’s story and provide information on how you can provide support if you wish to. Whether it is through buying necessities or sensory items to help support, or donating monetary funds for essential care items or therapeutics.

We as a community need to support each other. Often times I see a lot of criticism within our own community, which not productive and isolates us more. No one struggle is completely the same. We should focus on uplifting each other with positivity and creating a community of support and advice.
We are isolated enough.
