We are officially kicking off our Spring 2026 SHOE DONATION DRIVE to benefit our Walk to End Alzheimer's Teams! Collection sites are at our 3 Visiting Angels offices (York, Hanover and Lancaster) and various other locations throughout both York and Lancaster Counties (reach out to us for a list of sites). As you are SPRING CLEANING, make sure to bundle up those gently worn or new shoes and drop them off so we can raise money for the Alzheimer's Association AND give the shoes to those who could use them. THANK YOU!

This is exciting news!!!

Each friend represents someone who understands a little more, supports a little better, and helps reduce the stigma surrounding dementia. This milestone isn’t just a number- it’s a movement toward more inclusive communities. 🤗

A special thank you to our incredible Dementia Friends Champion volunteers! Your passion, dedication, and outreach are what makes this growth possible. You are the heart of this movement. 💙

We are excited and proud to be part of the York County Community Foundation ‘s Age Friendly initiative representing Dementia Friendly York/Adams!

Today, Jill and Tina attended the meeting at Marketview Arts for a hands-on working session exploring how Age-Friendly principles can strengthen housing, transportation, businesses, and quality of life across York County.
(Jill had to leave before picture time but she was there too!)

We heard from local and state public officials and rolled up our sleeves alongside cross-sector partners to identify practical next steps.

We walked away with new ideas, new connections, and a clearer path forward, together to make a difference in York County!

Can’t wait to see what happens in this next 5 year circle! We would love to see more dementia friends! Ask us how- it’s FREE and only one hour of your time!

🧢🏟️⚾💜 Batter up! Or should we say, “Dementia Friend up!”

We’re proud to share that the staff of the York Revolution have become Dementia Friends …and this is the 2nd year that Dementia Champion , Alison Sprankle has presented the session to this group! We are pleased that they have made this commitment to learning more!

Through this information session, their team gained a deeper understanding of dementia and learned simple, meaningful ways to support individuals and families in our community.

Becoming a Dementia Friend is about turning awareness into action—helping create a more inclusive, compassionate York for everyone. 🧠💜
