Memory Care had a blast today with Dartmouth students playing balloon volleyball and drinking cider. The students brought out the very best in our residents and there was laughter all around.

On September 23, the day after the Autumnal Equinox, Wheelock Terrace had a Fall Fest. After fortifying ourselves with pumpkin bread, cider donuts, pumpkin whoopie pies, and cold cider (Thank you, Chef Doug!), we guessed the weight of a pumpkin (20.5 lbs), made a scarecrow, and bowled with miniature pumpkins. The highlight however, was the donut eating contest! We laughed until we cried. Residents love it when staff participate in our fun as well. Later in the week, we went apple picking at Poverty Lane. As one resident commented, “You make me do things I’ve never done before,” thus proving that you’re never too old to try new things.

🎉 Fun, Games, and Great Tunes at Wheelock Terrace! 🎶
We are totally spoiled at Wheelock Terrace! 🎶 Between Music with Martha, jamming with Second Wind, and all the fun games we’ve been cooking up — it’s non-stop smiles around here! 😄 Big shoutout to Cathy, our newest addition to the Activities Dream Team — she’s diving right in with Bingo, laughs, and some brand-new games we’re making up as we go! Who says fun has an age limit? 💃🧩🎤
