Situated on more than 100 acres of countryside with beautiful Plum Creek flowing through our community, Homewood Living Plum Creek is perfect for those seeking a peaceful, quiet environment with the proximity and convenience of nearby attractions. Founded on a commitment to Christ and caring for seniors, we believe seniors can lead purpose filled and joyful lives, so we provide specialized lifestyle options and care tailored to each resident, along with a variety of services, learning opportunities and engaging experiences. We offer a continuum of care, including residential living, personal care and a full range of healthcare services to meet our residents uniquely where they are today and to adapt if their needs change in the future.

🚀 Innovation Meets Compassion at Homewood Living Plum Creek!
If you walk into the dining room of Care Central during lunchtime, you’ll witness a beautiful blend of teamwork, care, and… robots?
Yes, robots! Meet Rachel and Rueben, our newest team members at the Plum Creek campus. These cheerful, tray-carrying robots are transforming the dining experience for our residents—cutting delivery times by 10 to 15 minutes and adding a touch of tech-powered joy to our halls.
Introduced in late June, this initiative was inspired by another Homewood campus already embracing robotic support. Thanks to Michael Kolias, VP of Technology, and the leadership of Executive Director Karen Haines and Food Services Director Adam Musselman, we partnered with Baer Electronics to add these smart helpers—ensuring flexibility for future tech upgrades.
Special shoutout to CNA Jill Staff, a 25-year Plum Creek veteran, who played a key role in integrating Rachel and Rueben into daily operations. Our nursing and dietary teams have embraced this innovation, loading trays and guiding the robots as they sing their way down the halls (yes, they even sing Happy Birthday on request!).
This advancement isn’t just about efficiency—it’s about enhancing quality of life, saving time and steps, and strengthening collaboration across departments. We’re proud to continue innovating in ways that support our mission of resident-centered care.

What a Day at the 2025 Homewood Golf Classic!

This past Thursday, we were blessed with lovely weather as we gathered for the 2025 Homewood Golf Classic. We are pleased to share that we raised over $163,000 for Benevolent Care to support Homewood residents in need! Thank you to all of our sponsors and participants for ensuring we had another successful year.

Congratulations to the Roots in the Cove team for winning the Silbernagel Trophy as our top senior flight team and to the Whitesell Pharmacy team for winning the open flight! It was great to share so many smiles and laughs with the friends we have made over the years.
Be on the lookout for details on the 2026 Homewood Golf Classic as we will be celebrating 25 years of charity golf tournaments at Homewood.

Monday was filled with joy and meaning as residents from Homewood Living Frederick, Plum Creek, and Williamsportcame together to experience a powerful performance titled “Just As I Am” by the African Children’s Choir.

💬 Residents learned about the incredible ministry behind the choir—how it empowers children to pursue their dreams and build brighter futures.

🚢 Cruise Week at Plum Creek – A Voyage of Joy and Connection! 🌴
Our Personal Care and Healthcare residents at Homewood at Plum Creek have been sailing through a week of fun and themed festivities during Cruise Week—and it’s been nothing short of amazing!
From tropical vibes to delicious delights, the week featured: 🥞 Pancakes on the Pacific with our beloved “Captain” Jack (aka Chaplain Jack), serving up pina colada and bananas foster pancakes! 🎶 A variety of cruise-inspired activities that brought smiles, laughter, and a true sense of adventure. 🌊 And we’re wrapping it all up with a steel drum presentation this Friday, September 22nd—bringing the sounds of the islands right to our community!
These moments are just a glimpse into the vibrant life and compassionate care offered in Personal Care at Homewood at Plum Creek.

Homewood Living Plum Creek was so blessed to welcome in the Labor Day weekend with an extravagant fireworks display, sponsored by the RLEEF committee, and enjoyed by residents of all levels of care. The fireworks soared high up into the sky, sharing the beauty with our neighboring Hanover area community. We hope all who were able to see the fireworks from the surrounding area enjoyed the show as much as residents and staff did!

🎨 Inspired by Faith and Light: Tom Kenney’s Stained Glass Journey at Plum Creek

At Homewood Living Plum Creek, creativity and community go hand in hand. Meet Tom Kenney, a retired optometrist turned stained glass artist, who’s found renewed purpose through his art.

After a long break while his grandkids were young, Tom reignited his passion right here at Plum Creek. He transformed his garage into a studio, teaches classes, and creates stunning custom pieces for fellow residents — including beautiful interpretations of the new Homewood Living Ministries logo.

💬 “I like to use my talent to bring joy to others,” Tom says — and he truly does. Executive Director Karen Haines was delighted to receive a gift of two beautiful stained glass pieces of the new logo.

From holiday villages to scenic bike rides, Tom and his wife Anne embrace every moment of life at Plum Creek. It’s more than a place to live — it’s a place to thrive.
