🎶 Wes Hampton Delivers an Unforgettable Afternoon of Music at Homewood Living Plum Creek! 🎤

On Tuesday, July 15, residents and guests at Homewood Living Plum Creek in Hanover, PA were treated to an inspiring and heartfelt performance by Grammy Award-winning artist Wes Hampton!

The room was filled with joy, music, and powerful stories as Wes—longtime member of the legendary Gaither Vocal Band—shared gospel favorites, solo hits, and reflections from his nearly 20-year career.

💬 “Wes Hampton’s performance was nothing short of incredible,” said Karen Haines, Executive Director. “His voice, his message, and his presence brought joy and inspiration to everyone in the room.”

Residents experienced a truly heartwarming event — a butterfly release in our beautiful gardens. Surrounded by sunshine, laughter, and the gentle flutter of wings, we celebrated life, renewal, and the joy of community.

🌺 Taste of the Tropics at Homewood Living Plum Creek! 🌺

At Homewood Living Plum Creek, we take pride in offering therapeutic recreation programs that enrich the lives of our residents at every level of care. Thanks to the support of the Resident Life Enrichment Endowment Fund (RLEEF), we’re able to go beyond the daily calendar and create truly memorable experiences.

This June, our campus was transformed into a tropical paradise as we hosted a campus-wide Luau celebration! 🌴🌺

✨ The Magic of Hawaii Entertainment brought the spirit of aloha to life with an unforgettable evening of Hawaiian dance, music, and storytelling. Residents were treated to vibrant performances featuring graceful hula dancers, traditional songs, and the soothing sounds of the ukulele.
🎶 From the colorful costumes to the engaging crowd participation, the Luau was a joyful celebration of culture, connection, and community. Residents even had the chance to learn a few dance moves and join in the fun!

🍍 Before the show, all residents enjoyed a delicious Luau-themed meal, served across all levels of care—making the evening a full sensory experience.

We are so grateful to RLEEF for helping us bring these special moments to life. Events like this remind us of the power of shared joy and the importance of living each day with purpose.

Residents in Personal Care broke out their dancing shoes and came together in a senior prom. Everyone danced to the smooth voice of Derek Reed, who was the singer for the themed “Under the Stars” prom. Resident volunteers from Residential Living joined in the fun and danced with some Personal Care residents.

Homewood’s Nursing team “Rounded” up the team for our annual competency training! This year’s theme the Wild West was another big hit bringing fun to education! Homewood Living Plum Creek a Five Star facility is very proud to also be a Five Star in Staffing. Plum Creek is proud to be a facility that uses no outside agency and has many talented aides, LPN’s and RN’s, with many years of tenure.
