We were thrilled to welcome a group of amazing teens from Camp Walt Whitman who spent the day volunteering at Maynard House!

They rolled up their sleeves, cleaned our guest rooms, and gave our gardens some much needed love and care. Their hard work and positive energy made a big impact and we’re incredibly grateful for their time and effort.

At Maynard House, we support patients and families receiving medical care by providing them with a warm, welcoming place to stay. Volunteers like these help us continue to make that possible.

🍳 Breakfast with Michael – Coming to Maynard House! ☕️

We’re thrilled to announce a new tradition: Breakfast with Michael! 🧡

Starting Wednesday, July 23, 2025, our superstar volunteer Michael will be cooking up a warm, comforting breakfast for our guests every third Wednesday of the month. It’s a heartfelt way to start the day for families and patients heading to the hospital—because sometimes, a hot meal and a kind face make all the difference.

👨‍🍳 Would you like to help Michael in the kitchen? We’re looking for friendly volunteers to assist with prepping, cooking, and sharing a little warmth and comfort in the morning.

📅 Third Wednesdays of each month
🕗 Early morning shifts before guests head out for hospital visits
📍 Maynard House, Hanover, NH

I couldn't have managed my cancer treatment without having this wonderful, local place to stay. The staff is awesome! Gracious, professional, and friendly. We enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders; chickadees, titmouse, nuthatch, and purple finches. Thank you!

We are deeply grateful for John Brown, Director of Buildings and Grounds at Thetford Academy and former Maynard House Board member, for generously volunteering his time and skills to install our new split rail fence.

The fence has added beauty and charm to the property, and we truly appreciate John’s thoughtful contribution and continued support of the Maynard House.

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing members of the Phi Delta Alpha fraternity for generously volunteering their time and energy to help Maynard House with some much-needed exterior painting and for installing brand new mattresses for our guests! Your support means the world to us and makes a real difference in the comfort and care we provide.
