We are a center for music therapy, education, and wellness for those in the South Shore and throughout Southeastern, MA. We provide music therapy services, music lessons, and arts-based wellness programs for children and adults in a welcoming and creative environment. In addition to our center-based services, we partner with many community-based and healthcare organizations to bring customized services to early childhood centers, schools, eldercare facilities, healthcare facilities, parks and rec programs, and many more, Please call or message us to bring us to your location.

Join us in congratulating Anna who completed her internship today! Anna has done amazing work as an intern and we are so excited to now welcome her to the Sing, Explore, Create team as an employee! Here's what Anna had to say after reflecting on her time in internship...

"My internship experience at Sing, Explore, Create has been a highly educational experience and I have felt encouraged and supported by everyone on our team here. I grew so much in practicing music therapy here and that was due to being a part of a highly creative team. I had the opportunity to work with a great variety of populations throughout my internship and, also, to work with multiple members of the Sing, Explore, Create team in sessions. Each therapist here has a unique perspective on how to practice music therapy, which meant I vastly expanded my understanding on how to work with clients based on observations of their work and advice received from each therapist.
My favorite memory at Sing, Explore, Create was during one of our team music-making experiences. The staff at our practice are encouraged to make music together to foster our love of music outside of sessions and work. We did a drum circle together based on the theme of community and it felt representative of my experience here. Sing, Explore, Create greatly values community music-making and bringing people together through music. I have seen how our community benefits from music therapy during our sessions and community events held at the practice. I am proud to be a part of a company that values this and truly puts in the effort to uplift and bring people together through music. I look forward to continuing my work here as an employee!"

We love our Tuesdays with The Red House Academy! Rowan brings our early childhood music program to these kiddos each week. Early childhood music experiences are intentionally chosen to meet the developmental needs and support the growth of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. And did we mention how FUN they are?!!?

Did you know that you can intentionally build playlists as a powerful tool for wellness? Here's a tip to get you started: for a relaxation playlist, try using music with few instruments and lyrics (and it doesn't have to be classical). This gives the brain less to analyze and process!

We understand that the holidays can bring up many different emotions, and so we wanted to remind you of a coping skill that can help you feel grounded and find a moment of stillness. This is a great tool to use when feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

Take a look around the room or space you're in and slowly identify five different things you can see. Then, four things you can touch, noticing the feel and texture of each item. This is followed by three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and finally - one thing you can taste. Complete each step slowly and mindfully.

Remember to show yourself love and compassion this holiday season. ❄🎄

We are already throwing it back to our Sing and Be Merry Santa event at our center this year! In addition to taking photos with Santa, families also engaged in lots of active music-making and worked together on an art project. Even Santa got to participate!

Everyone made a holiday card, which will then be brought to Allerton House, one of our amazing community partners, to be given to residents living there. We love all the ways we get to connect with others in our community!

Here is a common misconception about music therapy: “music therapy is such great entertainment!”. While music therapy CAN be tons of fun, we are actually always working towards our client’s goals and making clinical choices moment to moment to get there. It is SO much more than just fun!

For example, in our early childhood to school-aged programs students are often engaging in music and creative arts experiences designed to teach regulation, communication, and social skills! Remember to check our link in the bio to learn more about the programs we offer and how music therapy can be beneficial to you, your loved one, or your community.

Plymouth County Family Support Inc has funded a special holiday jam just for families!

Join us at Sing Explore Create for a fun and supportive morning of holiday music and play. A music therapist will lead the activities, making sure everyone can successfully join in the fun. Activities will include a holiday-themed Sing Along, drumming, instrument play, and movement games.

Event details:
Who: Students in Grades K-5 who are DDS eligible (and their caregiver)
When: Saturday, December 20th, 10:30-11:30am
Cost: Free for all families!

Thank you so much to all who came to our Sing and Be Merry event! We had over 40 families and over 80 kiddos come into our center to sing, make art, and take pictures with Santa! It was a wonderful morning of inclusion and community and we are so thankful we got to share it with you. Stay tuned to see the art project families worked on together!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas - our Sing and Be Merry Santa event is TOMORROW at our center in Hanover, MA! Thank you to all who registered - we are sold out! We can't wait to see you and we're so excited for all the wonderful holiday experiences we have prepared including a family art project, instrument play and drumming, Christmas carol sing along, and private meet and greets and photos with sensory friendly Santa! This is an inclusive event, and activities will be adapted so that everyone in the family can successfully participate. We'll see you soon!🎅🏻❄
