2 more weeks of trial classes! So great meeting new families and friends!

Looking to get your preschooler involved in a play group now that the big kids are back in school? Or maybe you would like to prep your little one before entering pre-K?

ABC Play offers a unique 2-hour drop off program for children ages 2.9-5 and is now offering one FREE trial class in September. The group is facilitated by a board-certified music therapist (from Sing Explore Create's team), a speech language pathologist and an occupational therapist (from Leading Therapy Home's team).

Are you the loved one or caregiver for an adult with disabilities? We would love to have them come by for a class! We're two weeks out from our Fall ABC Play class starting up, and we thought it would be helpful to know exactly what your toddler-pre K kid would be up to!
A day in this class entails:

- Free Play (transition into the group with a targeted focus on facilitating social play and working on SLP/OT goals in a natural environment)
- Music (instrument play, singing, dancing, drumming, and music games that center on goals targeting communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction with their peers)
- Snack & Socialize (gain independence in retrieving their snack and learn how to ask for help. The group eats snack together and our SLP facilitates group discussion as well as a story or an interactive game)
- Arts & Crafts (fine motor planning and skill building with the OT that includes painting, pre-writing skills, cutting, gluing, sensory play, and more.)
- Movement Games (dancing, parachute play, obstacle courses, gross motor games facilitated by the OT targeting motor planning, balance, jumping, body control, body awareness, and regulation)
- Star Time (five minutes reserved at the end to practice mindfulness and deep breathing before seeing our caregivers)

Our goal with this class is to help your 2.9-5 year old to strengthen speech and communication skills, gross and fine motor movement, as well as social skills in order to build confidence and help them connect with new friends. What an amazing way to wind down summer! Thanks to everyone who came out out to Creative Spark! We had a blast and hope you did too! Not only was it fun, but we helped a good cause along the way, raising $225 for 's Theatre for Kids initiative. We are happy to match that, for a total donation of $450!
