This week marks one year since we opened the doors of The Springs at The Waterfront in Vancouver, Washington.

In just 12 months, this beautiful community has become so much more than a building, it’s a place where residents and team members create connections, share joy, and celebrate life every day.

A big congratulations to two outstanding leaders at The Springs Living!

🌟Anjie Lambert, life enrichment director at The Springs at Carman Oaks, received the Enrichment of Life Award from Oregon Health Care Association for her nearly two decades of creating joyful, meaningful experiences for residents.

🌟 Ole Lindbo, regional director of operations, was honored by OHCA with a Special Service Award for his leadership and advocacy in support of senior living during a challenging legislative session.

This marks the third consecutive year that someone from The Springs Living has earned the Enrichment of Life Award—a true reflection of the compassion and dedication of service-driven individuals across the organization who continually provide impactful and engaging experiences for residents.

The Springs at Greer Gardens’ Farmers Market was already packed with fresh produce, handmade goods, and live music, but then Puddles, the University of Oregon’s beloved mascot, dropped by to take things to a whole new level! From dancing with residents and sampling cotton candy to busting a move to the band, Puddles brought pure joy and laughter to an already beautiful day.

Events like these are what community is all about: connection, laughter, and maybe even a duck who knows how to work the dance floor.

We’re proud to serve many veterans across our 20 communities in the Pacific Northwest—and yesterday, we had the joy of celebrating them in a truly unforgettable way.

Thanks to Dream Flights, a dozen veterans from several of our Oregon communities took to the skies in a historic Boeing Stearman biplane. Family, friends, and team members gathered at the McMinnville airport to cheer them on, filling the day with smiles, laughter, and heartfelt moments.

A special salute to five Happy Valley veterans from our community -- Dean Clark (Navy), Bob Smith (Army), Horst Jeddeloh (Navy), Matt Howard (Navy), and Dick Webb (Air Force) -- who took to the skies like the heroes they are.

WWII U.S. Navy veteran Dean Clark marked his 100th birthday a little early with an unforgettable adventure. The Springs at Happy Valley resident soared above McMinnville, Oregon, thanks to Dream Flights.

Dean shared that his brothers trained in a Boeing Stearman biplane during their military service years ago. Since he didn’t have the same opportunity then, he’s especially excited to tell his brothers all about his flight in the same sort of plane today. As part of Dream Flights' tradition, WWII veterans sign the historic plane's tail after their journey, leaving their mark in history, just as Dean did after his dream flight.

We had a fantastic time celebrating all day on the 4th of July!

The festivities kicked off with our Stars, Stripes & Southern Bites BBQ, followed by the always fun (and refreshing!) Day of 1,000 Water Balloons—complete with targets four stories below! In the afternoon, residents enjoyed a Red, White & Brew Craft Beer Tasting, a lively game of Water Volleyball, and s’mores with live music to close out the evening.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
