👀 We’re looking for someone to join our team that can do the Monday-Friday evening feed for our herd (generally between 3-5 pm but we can work with your schedule), and ideally also be able to cover some weekend and AM feeding shifts as needed, as well as assisting with other projects occasionally. Our busiest time of year is between March-October, so there will be plenty of work to do if your schedule allows!

This is a part-time year-round job, with a lot of opportunity for more hours as your abilities, experience, and schedule allow. We have a large herd, so this can be demanding but very rewarding.

Job requirements:
•Must be able to repeatedly lift 50 pound feed bags
•Have reliable transportation and be a dependable person
•Must be detail-oriented and have a strong work ethic
•Be able to work in all weather conditions and seasons
•Be able to problem solve and work independently
•Experience preferred but not necessary – we will train the right person!
•And last but not least... must love goats!

Job duties:
•Prepare and distribute feed, grain, and water to 290+ dairy goats, mini horses, peacocks, and chickens in an accurate and timely fashion
•Ensure food dishes and water troughs are well-maintained and clean
•Monitor overall herd health through daily pasture inspections and report health issues/injuries to Herd Care Team
•Identify early signs of labor (during kidding season) and assist/communicate accordingly to team

We currently have an amazing team that works well together, has a great sense of humor, no drama, and loves the animals. Want to join us? PM your info, experience, and contact info. Thank you!

It’s pumpkin season!! 🙌 We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has dropped off pumpkins so far and thank you again to Burton Heritage Farms and the Lewes Knights Of Columbus for their generous pumpkin donations - as you can see, the goats are thrilled!

When you’re done with your whole, uncarved, unpainted pumpkins, you can drop them off at the farm (22114 Ritter Ln. in Harbeson) any time - just leave them at the ‘Parking” sign at the driveway entrance. Thank you from us and all of the goats! 🎃🐐
