Our residents enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of laughter, amazement, and entertainment during a special magic show with Master Magician Johnson! From mind-blowing tricks to joyful smiles, it was wonderful seeing everyone engaged and having such a great time together. As Nurses Week 2026 comes to an end, I want to thank each of you for your posts, comments, and support celebrating the incredible nurses at Evercare of Calhoun.

You all have shown so much love through your kind words, shared memories, and appreciation for the nurses who give so much to our community every day.

Our nurses truly deserve every bit of recognition, and we are grateful for the compassion, dedication, and care they continue to provide.

Julie has been a valued member of our team for over a year and brings with her several years of nursing experience in administration and supervision. Her knowledge, leadership, and willingness to support others make her an incredible asset to our facility.

Julie serves as a great resource for our nurse managers and is always willing to lend guidance and encouragement when needed. She is known for her kind and caring personality, as well as her commitment to providing quality care and support for both residents and staff.

She has served as Director of Nursing at our facility for 12 years in total, where her commitment to excellence and high standards have helped shape the quality of care we provide each day.

Known for her tough, old-school approach to nursing, Mariane leads with both strength and heart. She is deeply committed to her residents and staff, always advocating for quality care while creating meaningful connections with those she serves. Throughout her career, Kris has served in a variety of nursing environments including the Emergency Room, Long Term Care, and Psychiatric care—bringing a well-rounded depth of knowledge and compassion to every setting she’s worked in.

For the past few years, Kris has supported Evercare of Calhoun as a valued PRN nurse, stepping in when needed and always bringing a calm, caring presence to our residents and team. Today we proudly recognize Becky Watters, RN, for her extraordinary dedication and lasting impact at Evercare of Calhoun 💙

Becky has devoted more than 44 years to the nursing profession, with the majority of her remarkable career spent serving the residents and families of Evercare of Calhoun. Her leadership and commitment to excellence have helped shape the care and compassion our facility is known for today.

Becky served as Assistant Director of Nursing from 1993–1996 and as Director of Nursing from 1996–2008, providing guidance, clinical expertise, and unwavering support to both residents and staff. Throughout the years, she has remained deeply intertwined with the community she serves and has always done what is right for the residents entrusted to her care.

She is not only an advocate for our residents, but also a source of comfort and peace of mind for families. Becky’s loyalty, exceptional clinical judgment, and steadfast commitment have made her an invaluable part of the Evercare family.

We are deeply grateful for Becky’s continued service and incredibly proud to have her at Evercare of Calhoun. Thank you, Becky, for the countless lives you have touched and for the legacy of compassion and excellence you continue to inspire every day. 💙
