Huge shoutout to our amazing pharmacists at One Health! “I chose pharmacy because it sits at the intersection of science, problem-solving, and human connection. I have always loved math and science, but what truly drew me to pharmacy was the opportunity to help people in meaningful, tangible ways. There is nothing more rewarding than working with a patient to find the right medication or regimen—or helping them navigate options so they can afford the medications they need to stay healthy.
My journey with One Health began when I was given the incredible opportunity to help start the pharmacy program for Bighorn Valley Health Center, Inc. It was a unique and challenging opportunity, and one that has shaped me both professionally and personally. Building and growing the pharmacy program has allowed me to learn continuously, adapt, and improve—something I continue to do every day.
What makes One Health truly special to me is its unwavering commitment to improving the wellbeing of the whole community by providing accessible, high-quality healthcare. The vision of whole health for the whole community aligns deeply with why I do this work. Our patients and communities are at the center of everything we do, and I am grateful every day for the trust they place in us.
I also find great fulfillment in collaborating with other departments across the organization. Working closely with prescribers and clinical teams to optimize therapies and medication regimens allows us to provide the best possible care for our patients. These partnerships reflect the very best of One Health’s core values—being people-centered, accountable, acting with integrity, having the courage to innovate, and continuously improving how we serve our communities.
This journey has been an incredible one for me as a pharmacist and as a colleague. I have grown immensely, both professionally and personally, and I am deeply grateful to One Health, our patients, and my colleagues for the opportunity to do this meaningful work together.”
