Healing doesn’t move at the same speed for everyone.

Some days feel like progress.
Some days feel like rest.
Both are part of the process.

Give yourself permission to move at a pace that honors where you are today.

Choosing new patterns, setting healthier boundaries, or responding differently than you used to can feel unfamiliar, even a little unsettling. That’s often because you’re stepping outside of what once felt normal.

Growth often asks us to pause, reflect, and choose something different than what we’ve always known. Over time, those small shifts begin to feel more natural, and what once felt uncomfortable becomes part of who you’re becoming.

If you’re navigating a season of growth and change, you don’t have to do it alone. Our counselors at New Pathways are here to help guide you along the way.

Big emotions don’t always require big solutions.

Sometimes the smallest shifts can bring the most relief. Emotional regulation is about helping your body feel safe enough to move through what you’re feeling, rather than getting stuck in it.

When your nervous system begins to settle, your mind can follow.

If you’re ready for deeper support, our counselors at New Pathways can help you develop personalized strategies for navigating overwhelming emotions and building tools that truly work for you.

Taking care of yourself isn’t something you have to earn.

Self care isn’t selfish. It’s how we maintain the energy, patience, and emotional capacity to show up in our lives and relationships in healthy ways. Rest, boundaries, and moments of pause are not signs of weakness. They are part of caring for your whole self.

For many people, prioritizing their own well being can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable at first. If that’s you, you’re not alone. Sometimes learning how to slow down, set boundaries, and care for yourself takes guidance and support.

At New Pathways, our counselors are here to help you build healthy rhythms that support your emotional and mental wellness so you can show up fully in the life you’re living. 🧘♀️

Two weeks.
Over 25 helping hands.
One incredible transformation.

What once was just a house has been completely reimagined into a place of hope, healing, and new beginnings. Every wall painted, every room prepared, and every detail finished was done with the clients who trust us, and the many more who will walk through these doors in mind.

We are so grateful for the community that showed up to make this possible. This space is more than a building… it’s a home for healing. 🤍

Meet Kacie 🤍

Kacie is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) here at New Pathways Counseling. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Murray State, and she is currently working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

Before stepping into counseling full time, Kacie spent five years teaching science at Graves County Middle School. What she loved most was creating a space where students felt safe, known, and cared for. That same heart now carries into the counseling room.

Kacie’s journey into this field is deeply personal. Through her own story, she experienced both brokenness and healing, and it was in counseling that God met her in powerful ways. That experience shaped her calling to walk alongside others with empathy, faith, and steady support.

She is passionate about helping clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re working through anxiety, transitions, grief, or simply feeling overwhelmed, Kacie desires to meet you with compassion and care.

Outside of work, she enjoys listening to audiobooks, hammocking, and spending time with friends and family.

We’re so grateful for the warmth and intentionality Kacie brings to our team. If you’d like to schedule with her or learn more about getting started, call or text (270) 819-6036 or visit newpathwaysky.com.

When someone is overwhelmed, “calm down” rarely works the way we hope it will.

That’s because anxiety doesn’t start in logic. It starts in the nervous system.

When your body senses a threat, real or perceived, it shifts into protection mode. Heart rate rises. Muscles tighten. Breathing changes. Rational thinking takes a back seat while your brain focuses on survival. In those moments, you’re not being dramatic or irrational. Your body is doing exactly what it was designed to do.

Real calm doesn’t come from forcing yourself to think differently. It comes from helping your body feel safe again.

That’s why presence, patience, and connection matter so much. Whether it’s with a trusted person, a steady environment, or a therapist trained to understand how the nervous system works, regulation begins with safety.

If anxiety feels like it hits before you can even think, you’re not broken. Your body is responding.

With the right support, you can learn how to work with your nervous system instead of fighting against it.

If you’d like help understanding your anxiety and building tools that actually settle the body, we’re here. Call or text us to schedule a session. 🤍
