We are incredibly grateful to have received the LUCAS 3 device from a grant through the Region 3 HERA coalition. This device provides high-quality, consistent chest compressions during cardiac arrest, helping maintain blood flow to the heart, brain, and other vital organs when seconds matter most. With this addition, a LUCAS device will be on every in service Breckinridge Central EMS ambulance.

The LUCAS is a mechanical CPR device that delivers compressions at the correct depth and rate without fatigue, allowing our crews to focus on other interventions during cardiac arrest. It also improves safety for our providers during long resuscitations and while moving patients.

We recently held our annual Christmas party & awards banquet. It was a great night celebrating our EMS family and recognizing the hard work and dedication that is shown all year. We are proud of our providers and everything they do for our community.
