It’s times like this, when we’re under so much pressure and stress, it transforms us into something we don’t even recognize anymore.
Dreams end, we say goodbye to toxicity, we learn to love the things we haven’t been able to love about ourselves, we find safety, we discover how resourceful we are, we drop victim mentality…the list of possibilities is infinite.
The best outcome is when we come back to the truth of who we are. When the critical voice of the past becomes quieter and we can hear what our needs are….we can feel and decern our needs with confidence without contrition.
It’s often the people smiling that are in the most pain and suffering. Robin Williams is a great example of this. Be kind, with yourself and randomly. You never know who needs a glimmer of hope and connection to humanity.
And the worst is not just when we feel alone in our suffering, but when we cannot allow the love and support we long for in. When we are frozen and stop ourselves from accessing resources. Shame does this. There are ways to shift shame: name it, share it, move your body to feel it. One step at a time or a giant leap, you do you.
You matter, sending love ❤️🔥
