We are very excited to share two of our latest Therapy success stories. Both have worked very hard at reaching their goals and we are very proud of them, Great job!
Mr. Thomas Fields is a resident here at Harlan Health and Rehab. Thomas suffered an accident that resulted in severe weakness and immobility. Thomas recently participated in Physical and Occupational Therapy to improve his strength, endurance, range of motion, functional mobility, balance, and ambulation. Thomas was dependent with all mobility skills. After working daily with our therapy team, Thomas is getting in and out of the bed, and walking with assistance. Thomas improved his balance, strength, and overall endurance. We are so proud of Thomas and his hard work. We look forward to seeing him continue to improve. Way to go!
Mrs. Bessie Caldwell is a 96-year-old sweetheart who came to Harlan Health and Rehab after a short stay in the hospital due to pneumonia and A-fib. Bessie was very weak, resulting in being dependent with all mobility, self-care, and functional tasks. She participated in our Rehab to Home Program, working really hard with Physical and Occupational Therapy. She increased her overall strength by performing therapeutic exercises. She is performing all bed mobility and transfers with very minimal assistance by participating in functional mobility training. She has also improved her balance and has shown an overall increase in endurance and activity tolerance. We are so proud of Mrs. Bessie and can't wait for her to enjoy time at home with her family.
