Santa checked his list, then he checked it twice. He came to visit, and it was very nice! He came in like a whirl, giving gifts to all the boys and all the girls. Sweet treats and cocoa, too - a present for me and presents for you. A day filled with laughter and smiles. Even the Grinch himself had a ball, giving gifts to one and all. A merry Christmas celebration indeed at HHRC.

We've experienced a truly unforgettable week at Harlan Health and Rehabilitation, where the boundaries of joy were shattered as our entire building radiated the warmth and magic of Christmas, filled with delightful visitors of all ages who spread happiness and cheer to every corner. Our heartfelt appreciation extends to each and every one who took the time to visit, bring thoughtful gifts, enchanting music, and boundless joy to our community. We're especially grateful to Rosspoint, Cawood, and Harlan Independent schools, along with local organizations like Mountain Comprehensive Center, Mountain Santa, and Bluegrass Navigators, for their kindness. Who are we?

Harlan Health & rehabilitation Center is a 143-bed skilled nursing facility nestled in the beautiful mountains of Harlan County.

We provide both long term and short term care and have an outstanding therapeutic rehabilitation program with staff dedicated to helping residents reach their highest potential. Many of our residents are able to return home after an illness or accident with just a few short weeks of rehabilitation. Our Activities staff is always working to keep residents active with many fun-filled activities. Some activities include arts & crafts, cooking, movies, bingo, bowling, karaoke, dancing, cook-outs and ice cream socials to name a few. We also have various performers, groups and local talent who provide entertainment for our residents and staff. Our goal is to provide the best care possible for our residents while making them feel at home. We not only believe in quality care, we believe in a quality life.
