I’m continually impressed by the power of these tiny needles.

Patients often ask if they’re coated with something, and I promise they’re not! Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body to regulate the nervous system, enhance circulation, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

It’s a privilege to witness how something so small can have such a profound impact on well-being. I’m grateful to support my patients with this powerful medicine 🙌

If you’re curious about if acupuncture may be a useful tool for you on your journey, feel free to reach out :)

🌱 The Yin Phase | Follicular Phase | Waxing Moon 🌱

This is the phase of renewal, rebuilding, and gentle expansion. After the deep release of menstruation, our bodies begin to gather energy and build again. In Chinese medicine, this is the Yin phase—a time when Blood and Essence are being replenished and Qi begins to emerge.

We’re still in a quiet, tender space—but we’re starting to shift outward and expansive. The waxing moon mirrors this soft return of light, hope, and possibility.

✨ Support your body during this phase with:

Blood-nourishing foods like leafy greens, protein, and root veggies and grains🥬
Hydration to support Yin 💧
Increase movement like walking, stretching or strength training to awaken Liver Qi 🌿
Restful creativity—journaling, dreaming, planning 🎨
There’s no need to rush. Allow your energy to rise slowly and intuitively. This is a beautiful time to dream into the next cycle.

💭 What new energy is beginning to stir within you?

🌑 The Blood Phase | Menstrual Phase | New Moon 🌑

This is the phase of deep rest, renewal, and release. Just like the new moon disappears into the sky, our energy turns inward, asking us to slow down and honor the wisdom of stillness. In TCM, this is the blood phase, governed by the Liver and Kidney, supporting the natural shedding and renewal process.

✨ What your body needs right now:

Warm, nourishing foods to replenish Blood 🥣

Extra rest—give yourself permission to pause 😌

Gentle movement to prevent stagnation 🚶🏽‍♀️

Reflection—this is a powerful time to set quiet intentions 🌱

Instead of pushing through, what if you softened into this phase? What if rest is a necessity?

💭 What are you letting go of this cycle? Drop a 🌑 in the comments if you’re giving yourself permission to slow down.

I started my clinical journey working for an amazing fertility practice in NYC (shout-out ). After years of working with women facing fertility struggles, painful cycles, and hormonal imbalances, I am still blown away by the magic that is Chinese medicine.

Acupuncture and herbs aren’t quick fixes or pseudoscience — it’s rooted in years of practical application and theory, and is designed to support your body’s natural ability to heal and regulate itself. By improving blood flow, balancing hormones, and reducing stress, acupuncture and herbs can be a powerful ally on your wellness journey.

If you’re curious but unsure, I’d be happy to answer your questions — your health decisions should feel informed and empowering. 🌿

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), winter is considered a time for rest, reflection, and rejuvenation. It aligns with the Water element in the Five Element Theory, symbolizing stillness, introspection, and conservation of energy. The winter season corresponds to the kidneys, which are viewed as the source of vitality and life force (jing). Protecting and nourishing kidney energy during this time is crucial for long-term health and resilience.

I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit, because I have been feeling the push to map out a year of goals and productivity, but I’ve been noticing resistance because it does not feel appropriate. For one, New Year’s resolutions reflect a societal expectation to increase consumption, which I try to be conscious of. And two, who’s to really say that this is the only time we have for a fresh start.

I think a great reclamation of this idea is to actually turn inward more, to be inspired by the ideas of Chinese medicine and to take this time to nourish ourselves without feeling a need to expend for the sake of ‘new year new me’

I plan on spending some time journaling, meditating, reflecting and allowing the creative flow to follow 💫

A little fall mood-board now that the weather is actually shifting here in NYC.
Autumn is nature’s way of reminding us that transformation often requires a release. In Chinese medicine, the season of fall corresponds to the organ of the lungs, and we can see the energy of the lungs releasing with the vibrant choreography of the transformation of leaves on the trees.
To support the energy release and letting go I’ve been focusing on cooking nourishing recipes to help support my immunity during the change of the season.
How do you connect with this energy of transformation and release?

🌟After allll that adventuring in September I embarked on a slightly different kinda adventure! I took a class with my dermatology teacher in London to continue to learn how to better serve my current and future patients!

🌟Some of you may know, but I have a little obsession with dermatology 🤓 I’m determined to understand how using Chinese herbs can help treat complex inflammatory skin disease. So grateful for this opportunity to learn, and to share this knowledge!
