In our practice, we talk daily about setting and maintaining boundaries. We talk so often about boundaries because most of us have little idea how critical boundaries truly are to well-being. If you are constantly attending to the needs of others and not yourself, then you are responsible for your abandoning yourself. It’s a hard truth, but overcoming this hurdle will vastly improve your overall well-being.

Our perception of ADHD for the past 20 years has been defined as more of a gender focused disease with boys being diagnosed at a ratio of 2:1 according to the CDC in 2021. Although in the 1990’s this ratio was almost 25:1 (CDC). Accuracy in diagnosis has been poor for this diagnosis in women. If you or your loved one is struggling with their ADHD we work with clients everyday to improve their quality of life through therapy.

A national shortage of the drug Adderall has spotlighted a spike in demand for medications that treat the disorder, especially among women.
