✨Student Spotlight!✨
I began practicing yoga with the encouragement of a friend following a stressful period in my life. I had been interested in yoga but was intimidated to try it. Through my friend's experience I had seen how yoga had benefited her and thought why not try it!
Through my practice I have noticed that I am able to use the breathing techniques I have learned to ease anxieties and help center me. Yoga has strengthened my body and allowed me to be more comfortable in my body as I age.
Saha Yoga offers such a variety of classes. Some days I am looking for a more vigorous practice while other days I enjoy their slow flow classes. Through Saha I was able to explore Vinyasa, Slow Flow, and Hatha yoga. By offering these different practices I was able to discover which works best for me and which one my body is needing that day.
My advice for those interested in yoga would be to try the different classes offered and don't be intimidated. My favorite part of Saha is how encouraging and welcoming the teachers are. As my practice grows, the teachers encourage me to try new poses and help me build my strength, stamina, and confidence. At Saha I never feel like I need to be an expert or perfect with my poses. The teachers offer a variety of options during the classes so that all levels of practitioners can be comfortable. Some days I may feel tired, but I remind myself that I always feel rejuvenated after a class. I feel so blessed to have found this community and look forward to its continued growth!
