This day pays tribute to Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman in the United States to earn a medical degree in 1849—a milestone she achieved despite overwhelming barriers. Her courage and determination continue to inspire generations of women in healthcare.

We just finished Nurse Appreciation Week and we showered them with gifts and treats but we will continue to celebrate them daily. There is no replacing what you sacrifice of yourselves to go above and beyond the call of duty.
