Stop turning every interaction into a pop quiz.

AAC users deserve time to process what’s been said, time to find the words, and time to build a response. When we rush in with question after question, we don’t support communication… we interrupt it.

Try mixing it up:
-make comments instead of always asking
-model language without pressure to respond
-share observations
-give real wait time

Conversation isn’t about speed, it’s about connection.
Let’s slow down and make space for AAC voices to be heard.

¡Arrancamos el 2026 con nuestro primer cafecito del año!

En Autismo en mi Vida RGV estamos más que listas para comenzar este nuevo año con una estupenda plática, buena compañía y ese cafecito que tanto nos gusta
Es momento de recargar energía, reconectar y darnos el espacio para pláticas de adultos, apoyo entre padres y conversaciones que nos fortalecen.

Como ya es tradición, tendremos nuestros cafecitos en 3 ubicaciones. ¡Acompáñanos en la que te quede más cerca!

At Autismo en mi vida, we’re more than ready to start this new year with a great conversation, meaningful connections, and a warm cup of coffee
This is a time to recharge, reconnect, and enjoy adult conversations, parent support, and heart-filling talks.

As always, we’ll be hosting our cafecitos in three different locations join us at the one closest to you!

Our Target shopping trip for the basket 🧺 project was a success! Our hope and prayer are that these baskets bless and provide comfort to those who have to spend the holidays in the hospital. Oso participates in this special holiday project in memory of one of Ms. Misa's former patients who had a rare condition.
