This place is awful they pretty much kept me hostage the doctors are terrible and the workers are abusive they frequently hit or put the patients in choke holds at night and frequently threaten the patients there this place should be shut down immediately the only way I got out was by threatening to sue them

facility keep in mind that i was a patient there for only 5? days.
For starters, the “techs” or the staff that is there to watch you all day or all night. Specific techs don’t understand or just try not to understand one’s issues. A good example would be when a female in our unit was having an episode and was acting out by via self harm by scratching I was made aware of this as well as the other females there and someone went up to go inform a tech in hopes they’d assist the female in proper order. That’s not what the two techs during their day shift did. All they did was yell at her and tell her to stop and proceeded to send her to her room to be by herself and kept it that way for the remainder of the day. You’re only making it worse by making them feel less than by yelling at them instead of helping them? Nothing about witnessing that made me feel comfortable enough to tell the techs when something negative is going on. If you’re gonna work at a place full of mentally unstable people and don’t know how to comfort someone in a vulnerable state DONT WORK THERE. You’re only making it worse and it’s very dehumanizing.
Not to mention some of the techs were very rude at assisting people especially one of the female techs.
Some techs were very nice and good at what they did but others just shouldn’t have even gotten the job in the first place. I feel like being in there nobody truly cares about ones mental health until it becomes a serious issue that they start to act out upon others.
That’s all i have to say about the techs some of the techs were truly good people and made my experience there very memorable, but for the ones who are very harsh on the patients I truly hope someone points out ur wrong doings.

Secondly, if you’re going into this place voluntarily I genuinely hope you find somewhere else to go. This place isn’t terrible but it’s not at all good either. If you truly want help mentally this place isn’t where you wanna be. It’ll only make it worse if it isn’t the techs it’s the patients in there as well.

nobody will ever truly understand how horrible it is being in there until you’re truly there. went in there involuntarily and i had no other choice. The whole skin checking thing for scars is so humiliating and very traumatizing for a minor.
YOU don’t wanna be in here, being in here made me realize i literally have nobody else but myself at the end of the day. i’ve never felt more alone whilst being in there.

My family member voluntarily admitted himself to get help with anxiety and depression. On the fourth day of his stay he was threatened by a male nurse in unit 300 after politely asking the male nurse not to mistreat or threaten other patients. The male nurse is big and looks like a body builder and intimidates the vulnerable patients. Nurse gets into patients’ faces and puts arms up in punching position asking patients to fight. This gross misconduct from this nurse caused my family member to get even more anxiety and blood pressure went way up. Patients where confused because the nurse they believed was there to care for them was actually mistreating and threatening them. When attempting to file a complaint was told advocate was out due to thanksgiving Thursday and could not file complaint until Monday. I really hope this type of facility does not cover up employee misconduct and abuse of power on its patients. I hope facility endorses zero tolerance for This abuse on vulnerable patients. Should be grounds for immediate termination. ☹️

Be aware of the property guy in this place, his name is either Edgar or Edward, he is a thief, management KNOWS about it and decides to not do anything.

Worst place ever. If you have mental problems STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It'll make you worse. Facilities are extremely dirty, the personnel provokes patients by putting horror movies on the TV, personnel leaves suicidal patients alone. There's only 1 person who overviews the property, if you have ANYTHING of value it will get stolen. They stole my wife's new iphone.

The whole place and personnel is as incompetent as it can get and they released my wife with the discharge papers and prescriptions from another patient which is a huge HIPAA violation.

I'm currently in the process of searching for lawyers to proceed with a lawsuit.

Pls go to a different mental hospital if you want to find better treatment. This was my first mental hospital i went to and it made me scared to go again but i changed later on. They neglected me when i was having a panick attack and i told them before i would often get hurt if left alone and i asked for a anxiety pill but failed to deliver. Constant fights and we was always stuck in one room where we can't lay down (we wanted to lay down due to how hard the chairs were and we were tired) A girl in there was constantly saying that her family abuses her mentally and physically and the staff didn't care to report about it. The staff and employee's don't care about the patients . No matter how much of a bad situation we are mentally, they wouldn't assist they just neglected.

The absolute worst!!! Do NOT waste your time here! Everyday there was multiple fight between the teens. When you need to speak with someone it’s always voicemails and no one ever returns your calls! You are only allowed to speak with loved ones ONCE in the evening for 5 mins. And to top it all off they lost my daughters clothes! When the said they’d look for it supposedly there’s only one person who handles these issues and he’s the ONLY person to have a key to any lost belongings! Waited hours for intake and discharge! Absolutely ridiculous!!!! Do not take anything of value here cause it goes missing especially if it name brand!

I was admitted Feb. 13th and was a horrible experience. The facility was so dirty, staff was negligent and unattended to my needs. Had a horrible fall and Therapist Fisk refused to take me to the ER and threatened me. I would not take any of my loved ones thhere

NO STARS!!!! I HAD TO PICK ONE JUST TO WRITE THIS REVIEW! HORRIBLE FACILITY. LEAVING MY DAUGHTER IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE WITHOUT A PHONE AND LOST IN A CITY SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW! HORRRRRRRRIBBBBLE PLACE.. I'LL TAKE THIS DOWN ONCE THEY SHOW ACCOUNTABILITY!!! I was put in during October of last year. It was my first time EVER. 4 nurses watched my change out of my clothes, I heard them whisper about my body. I got a room to myself but cried the whole night. I told a nurse that I regretted attempting because I had to be there. And she said 'well good. Now you won't do it again.' who says that to a 13 year old???? I was forced to participate in group activities when I just wanted to be alone. They promised I could talk to my mom whenever I wanted but I could only talk for 5 minutes in the afternoon. This hurt me more then healed me. Please DO NOT GO HERE

I was a patient here a couple years ago for a couple days. It was extremely unhelpful and horrible. I recently admitted myself and the experience was PURE HELL. I was assaulted by a staff member and it was caught on camera. When I asked the staff their names, they refused to give it to me and said that they did not know the names of the others. That is against policy and also state and federal law states that if a patient is under the care of a nurse, they MUST provide name and show badge to the patient.
