I am so excited to finally share that I can now provide EMDR therapy 🥳, and I’m currently in the consultation phase of my EMDRIA-approved EMDR Therapy training ✨
Being a therapist doesn’t end with finishing a counseling program. For me, it means ongoing learning from the very programs developed by the psychologists who created the therapy. It’s about knowing the protocols, nuances, research, risks, and best practices that go far beyond just taking a course.
Behind the scenes, this kind of training can be so intense. It requires investing thousands of dollars, countless hours in lessons and practicum work, and then navigating a consultation phase where our methods are carefully reviewed and critiqued by experienced trainer-therapists. Just recently, I completed all the requirements to become a Fully Certified Brainspotting Practitioner through Dr. David Grand’s organization, a process that took over a year of dedicated work! To be fully certified in EMDR typically takes 2–3 years, and I’m honored to be on that path. This is what it means to do my best and bring excellence in my work with clients. I hope to continue to bring that passion, care, and energy into every single session, because there is truly nothing like being fueled by work I believe in.
These modalities are so powerful and can be used for more than anxiety, depression and trauma. It can be used for performance enhancement and optimizing parts of you who feels stuck and desires to be the exceptional human being you can be (on your own terms). I’m so proud to offer EMDR and Brainspotting as part of my practice.
