Evan's Toolbox is inspired by my son Evan, who has autism, and demonstrates methods that enable him to pursue one of his passions, working in "Daddy's Woodshop." For nearly ten years Evan and I have made birdhouses as gifts for family and friends. At first, I did all of the cutting and Evan helped me to assemble and paint them. Through the years I've developed ways that now make it possible for Evan to safely do all of the cutting and drilling and, instead of him helping me assemble and paint, Evan now does it all with just a little help from me.
