When hip pain started interfering with Frank’s daily life, it also meant putting something he loved on hold: walks with his beloved dog, Teddy. The pain Frank experienced also disrupted his sleep schedule, limited his mobility, and impacted his ability to care for his wife, Coral.

After trying exercises on his own without relief, Frank was referred to Aveanna Home Health for in‑home physical therapy. His goal was simple but meaningful: to get back to walking Teddy and supporting his wife. Working one‑on‑one with Physical Therapist Erik, Frank focused on building strength, reducing pain, and regaining confidence in his movement — all from the comfort of home. Today, he’s back to walking Teddy every day and staying active again with his wife.

“Aveanna has given me back something that I love,” said Frank. “Being able to walk my dog again with Coral — even once a day — means everything to me. Erik helped me get there.”

We are honored to walk with individuals like Frank to help them, and their four-legged friends, get back to doing what they love.

We developed the Aveanna Heartways™ program to address the primary reason for hospital readmission – respiratory issues related to Heart Failure. Our clinical team went to work to develop tactics to help our patients recover and avoid rehospitalization. Monitoring tools play a key role in the program, allowing us to take appropriate action when needed and improve outcomes for our patients.
