Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association

Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association PCA exists to inform, educate, and advocate on behalf of the Chiropractor and patient. Please contact the PCA directly and not through Facebook itself.

PCA advocates conservative care first as a verified strategy for safe and cost-effective health care for Pennsylvanians. The Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association (PCA) is an IRS 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation that is Pennsylvania's professional membership association for Chiropractors in the Commonwealth. With a long history of successful advocacy, PCA remains solely dedicated to the advancement of Chiropractic as a viable and cost-effective health care choice in Pennsylvania and throughout the USA. PCA is deeply committed to maintaining scope of practice through legislative and regulatory action on Capitol Hill. To that end, PCA retains lobbying and legal services to insure that all pertinent issues are properly, and where appropriate, aggressively addressed in the best interest of Pennsylvania's Chiropractors and their patients. They said chiropractic was “quackery.”
Now the real question is who controls access to care.
This PCA Deep Dive unpacks the structural battle over Medicare policy, copays, vertical integration, and why independent providers are being squeezed out of the system. If you care about patient access, non-drug spine care, and the future of conservative treatment, this conversation matters.

From antitrust law to workforce policy, we break down how healthcare economics quietly shapes who gets treated, how they get treated, and who gets paid.

Hard work is not the problem.
Policy. Regulation. Insurance. Scope. Delegation. Reimbursement.
No chiropractor should have to push that boulder uphill alone.

A $50 exam, or a $40,000 surgery?
Medicare forces the wrong choice.
In this PCA Deep Dive, we unpack how outdated 1972 rules block chiropractors from being fully recognized as physicians- fueling referral delays, opioid exposure, and exploding downstream costs.
The data is published. The economics are clear.
So why hasn’t policy changed?

This is what underfunded advocacy looks like.

If you’re relying on someone else to protect your right to practice, this is your stand.

Real policy fights require real resources.
If you don’t fund your own defense, no one will.

Support your future. Fund the fight.

In January, Jessica Treichler, Dr. Dan Schatzberg, and Mike Barba, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association, met with Congressman Scott Perry’s office in his district to discuss HB539, Medicare reform, and the growing chiropractic workforce crisis in Pennsylvania.

This conversation focused on supporting Pennsylvania’s 3,775 licensed chiropractors, who collectively sustain an $800 million annual industry. Chiropractors are entrepreneurs, healers, and job creators, and they play a critical role in access to conservative, evidence-based care across the Commonwealth.

Thank you to Legislative Liaison Jessica Treichler, a constituent of Congressman Perry, for her leadership and continued advocacy in defending and advancing our profession.
