โก๏ธ A key piece from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health: โNew study links hearing loss with dementia in older adults.โ Read more here:

Why this matters:
๐ง  The severity of hearing loss raised dementia prevalence significantly (moderate-to-severe hearing loss had ~61% higher dementia prevalence vs normal hearing).
๐ฆป๐ผ People using hearing aids in that group showed a lower prevalence of dementia.
๐ Earlier research at Johns Hopkins Medicine found that even mild hearing loss doubled the risk, moderate tripled, severe up to 5-times the risk.
Letโs keep our brains clear, our ears sharp, and our lives full of joy and overflow, not fear. ๐๐ฆป๐ผ๐ง

Disclaimer: While research shows a very strong connection between untreated hearing loss and cognitive decline, hearing loss is not the ONLY factor that can contribute to dementia. Always consult a qualified neurologist or healthcare professional for personalized evaluation and medical advice.
