In therapy, we call this emotional disengagement when one partner pulls back and the other starts feeling emotionally alone in the relationship. Some ways to recognize this:
-They only open up when they want to
-They deflect when you want to talk
-They stop including you in the everyday, simple things
-They’re home "less", and when they are it’s distant

These patterns aren’t always about malice; they often reflect emotional withdrawal, avoidant coping, or burnout in the relationship. If you are experiencing this find you a good therapist and get resolve!

KNOW THE DIFFERENCE - KNOW YOURSELF
Fear is real but it’s not always true. Your emotions are valid, but they don’t have to lead. Faith invites you to walk by truth, not just by what you feel.

-Name the Fear. Write it down. What are you afraid will happen?
-Challenge the Thought. Ask: Is this fear based on fact or assumption?
-Speak Truth to It. Use scripture to replace fear-based thoughts with faith-based truths.
-Act Anyway. Courage is moving with fear, not without it.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)

When you trust God over your emotions, you choose peace over panic, and movement over paralysis. That’s how faith grows.

Emotions are messengers, not dictators. They tell us something is off, important, or worth exploring but they don’t always tell us the whole truth.

✔️ Tip 1: Pause before you act name the emotion you're feeling.
✔️ Tip 2: Ask: What triggered this feeling, and what are the facts?
✔️ Tip 3: Ground yourself before making a decision especially when angry, sad, or overwhelmed.

-What would a wise not just emotional response look like?

Put the FACTS OVER your FEELINGS before you take action.
