The Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council (PHC4) has had the good fortune of employing many established and experienced professionals. Today, we want to highlight how those careers often begin — with an internship!

PHC4 is excited to introduce Alan Mburu Kagiri, who joins us this summer from Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy as an intern in our Special Projects Department while completing his master’s in public policy and management – data analytics. Alan earned his bachelor’s degree in data science and global studies from the The University of Chicago, where he developed a passion for applying technical skills in a policy context to advance equity in community care.

Looking ahead, he hopes to pursue a career in international policy and development, with a particular focus on the African continent. His goal is to build partnerships that improve outcomes for communities in under-resourced regions.

PHC4 is proud to serve stakeholders across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and equally proud to support the next generation of statisticians and analysts through meaningful internship opportunities!
