💜 Today, PACEP is wearing purple for World Pancreatic Cancer Day.

We honor and remember our former Executive Director, Jan Reisinger, whose leadership, passion, and commitment to emergency medicine left a lasting impact on our community.

On this important day, we stand with all individuals and families affected by pancreatic cancer and continue to raise awareness, support research, and advocate for early detection.

The PACEP Board of Directors held its last meeting of 2025 yesterday. Highlights include review and discussion of the 2026 draft budget, finalizing draft language for Physician-led ED legislation, and adjusting strategic priorities for the next quarter. Dr. Chadd Kraus, ACEP Board Chair and PAENA President Brian Rogers also provided greetings and updates from their respective organizations.

Several PACEP Board positions are becoming available in 2026, including active members of the board of directors, resident board members and leadership fellows. Self-nominations or nominations of colleagues are due November 30. Email an interest statement and CV to PACEP Secretary Dr. Eric Melnychuk, emelnychuk@geisinger.edu.
