This week, we sent a letter to Highmark expressing serious concerns about their intent to automatically downcode level 4 or 5 charts based on primary discharge diagnosis starting in February 2026. Our thanks to Pennsylvania Medical Society and Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association for collaborating with PACEP and signing onto our letter. Stay tuned for updates!
