This year’s national theme is “Stand With Me” — a powerful reminder that no resident should ever have to stand alone when it comes to dignity, respect, and choice.

I’m Marissa Gilcrease, your Long-Term Care Ombudsman for Region 1 with the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas. My role is to stand alongside residents in nursing homes, assisted living, and other long-term care settings — to listen, advocate, and ensure their rights and voices are protected every single day.

2025 Beanbag Baseball World Series was a hug success! We had 19 teams battling it out to call themselves the World Series Champions! Congratulations to 1st Place Searcy County Flintrockers and to 2nd Place Elkins Senior Elks. Thank you to all the beanbag baseball teams, AAA employees and volunteers that helped with the event.
