Journey to the fit life

Journey to the fit life Just a guy trying to better himself and help others along the way My Name is Braden Hill. My battle with my weight began the summer after 5th grade. It was bad.

When I got into sixth grade I noticed I didn't fit in desks as easy as I used to and my clothes where a lot tighter. I was a dumb kid and my parents had just split up so I didn't have a whole lot of guidance. I ate microwave meals and drank soda like it was going out of style. A little while later my parents noticed my weight gain. I went to doctors and did tests after that and it just came down t

o I just ate way too much. During high school I gained until my junior year. I started going to the gym and eating better, but still I was around 400 pounds. We decided to see about getting a gastric bypass my senior year. The only thing was I had to get below 400 pounds. Those 40 pounds just wouldn't go(who would've thought that if I would have done what the doctor said I would've lost it). About 4 months before I turned 18 and my insurance expired I got serious again. I got all the way down to 380. I went to the doctor and they wouldn't do it because I would lose insurance before all my post-op stuff was done even after we offered to pay upfront. Well this was heartbreaking to me. After that I just gave up almost completely. I would diet and exercise in sperts and never stick with it. By doing that I didn't really ever gain much weight I stayed right around 400. Well 2013 wasn't easy for me. My family was spitting again, I had to quit college, etc. I lost control and put on 100+ pounds!!! Last fall my buddy left for MCRD San Diego. He went off to marine boot camp. Joining the Military has always interested me, but with my weight I knew I never could. Last month I found out my other close friend is leaving for the same place at the end of this year. I told myself that I have to change my lifestyle and why not change it and have an amazing goal to work towards. My goal is that by next year to be down from 500 pounds to around 240 so I too can join my friends in the Marine Corps. Its going to be a journey, but I can do it. I hope this page can help people who are struggling like me to control their life. I hope they can come here and find support and motivation that they need to better themselves. Message me anytime

Much weight overall down this week because I had a little loss of control on Sunday. Been back at it 100 since.

So technically I'm down 2 pounds since last week. That doesnt include the 12 I had to drop again after last Sunday.

Well yesterday's progress report sucked and I had an INCREDIBLE leg day so I had to post up a reminder to never give up. If you fail just start again. Find your why and use that to become dedicated to retaking your life. Got some stuff worked out and the bloat from yesterday is finally gone.

The scale is a F #$%*&g liar. The pic on the left is back in 2016-2017 time frame. The right is my weekly Friday progress report. If I'm not mistaken i was about the same weight then as I am now. I know I have a LONG ways to go, but let this remind you it's not all about the scale.

Week 3 progress picture 🀘 down over 20 LBS this month. Bring on March πŸ’ͺ successful leg and core day.

This song is what changed my mindset. I'm sick of just existing. I want to live a full happy life and I'm not doing that how I am now.

Well damn I went the wrong way again...... I'm at my heaviest since 2016. It doesn't matter how many times you fail if you keep getting back up and trying. I was inches away from just completely not caring anymore. But my wife and daughter need me to be around and to be healthy. I've been back at it for about 2 weeks just moving in silence. πŸ’ͺ🀘

Using this as a reminder that even though I've gained some weight back over the last 2.5 years I'm still a HECK of a lot further along than when I started this journey some 5 years ago.... down 11 lbs since I started back 3 weeks ago and honestly the first two weeks I veered away from my diet 3-4 different days. This week has been 100% no cheats not even an extra bite and boy am I seeing the resultsπŸ‘Œ
