Let's face it - it doesn't matter how health-conscious you are, it's always hard to get enough fruits and vegetables - especially super greens - into your diet.

☕️Coffee lovers alert! ☕️ There's a NEW mold-free coffee on the block at Costco - and it's on sale through Jan 19th!

Why is this important? It turns out 90% of coffees have been tested to contain mycotoxins ⚠️ from mold growth.

These will cause fatigue and brain fog, not what you want when you're looking for caffeine to energize you! 😵‍💫
This is also why many people don't feel good on coffee but prefer the caffeine from sodas etc.

(In muscle-testing terms, most coffee causes your whole energy field to go weak, instead of giving you energy.)

I recommend 3 easily accessible coffee brands that are consistently mold-free:

Friendly reminder that last year’s flu shot increased the risk of flu by 33% in a study of over 53,000 Cleveland Clinic employees. (➡️For what to do instead, see my recommendations at bottom of post.)

🍋MY ADVICE INSTEAD: 🍯

▶️Stay hydrated and alkaline with plenty of potassium in your diet (for a shortcut include coconut water or Body Armor Lyte drinks regularly).
▶️ Keep the sugar intake to a minimum. Only 6 tsp of sugar is enough to suppress your immune system by 25% for 24 hours.
▶️ Move and sweat regularly. Use a sauna at your gym; do workouts that heat up your body; take hot baths. Heat is antimicrobial.

If you DO start to come down with symptoms, take:
🟣 25,000 IU's of vitamin D daily for 2-3 days
🟣 50 mg of zinc daily for 3 days
🟣 Hot tea with lemon juice and honey added

And, if it is bacterial like strep, add 2-3 tablets of 🟣 iodine daily for 3-5 days. (This works BETTER than an antibiotic without killing off your gut flora.) I have some here in office or you can find 12.5 mg tablets or capsules on Amazon.

If these steps are taken, you can greatly reduce the symptoms and potentially completely ward off any flus or illnesses that come your way this season, no vaccine needed. 🙌

As a nutritionist, I don't know why but I love creating breakfasts the most.😅🤷‍♀️ 🍳

When we stay at Virginia Beach every September, we love getting a little condo on 9th Street with the kitchenette included.

It was fun to create this beautiful meal every morning which gave us plenty of energy for all our activities of the day. 😍 🌊 🚴‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️

➡️TIP: When you travel, don't forget to nourish yourself properly. You will have so much more energy for actually enjoying yourself there instead of being in a brain-fogged carb and seed-oil funk. Lol.🤨

Many of you ask me about mammograms and if there are alternatives to them. I'm happy to say that thermography is a safe way of scanning using heat imaging instead of dangerous x-rays.
Longevity Thermography comes into Harrisonburg several times a year to offer these. August 13th is their next date.

➡️CASE STUDY ON CHRONIC COUGH 🤧: A new client, we'll call him Brian, came to see me 4 months ago because in the last several years he had developed a constant cough that kept him from sleeping well at night and bent him over double at work frequently during the day. No amount of inhalers or medication was really helping.

🫁 I discovered on the first visit (which was often interrupted by coughing fits) that he had become allergic to the *alveoli* in the lungs, which are the ends of the bronchioles. This is a common autoimmune allergen for those who have developed asthma, as it means the immune system is constantly attacking them and irritating them, leading to excess mucus production.

⚡️ In addition to this he had developed an allergy to his nerves and nearly every neuron in his brain which was causing his whole body to be shaky, due to an excess of electrical pulses. (As an electrician by trade, he had gotten electrocuted multiple times and all of this energy/ trauma was stored in his nervous system.)

🪲We also discovered underlying Lyme he had no clue about that had been present for many years, as well as a few other issues.

🟢The Plan: Over the next few months we cleared the allergy to his lungs, released the stuck electrical energy in his brain and nervous system so their activity returned to normal, eliminated the Lyme, and by the 4th visit, he reported having no coughing for the previous 6 weeks, his whole body was calm and not shaking anymore, his sleep was good, and his headaches were gone.🙌

He was so happy and so was I. 🥹🥹🥹 I LOVE seeing people set free from issues that have been wrecking their lives.🥳🙌 🎉

And this is just a snippet of the many success stories involving autoimmune allergies, regarding which God has been expanding my skills. It's crazy how many parts of the body we can be allergic to 😅🫣 but it makes such a difference when we clear that and allow full healing to happen.

➡️Is your natural skin care making your skin worse?⚠️
So 2 years ago I did some research to figure out why my face was feeling red and inflamed by the end of each day.

I had suspected for awhile that essential oils were inflammatory to the skin and sure enough - I found a great article by Paula's Choice website detailing in fact the reasons behind this.

As it turned out, when I checked the ingredients, all THREE of the products I was layering on my face - cleanser, moisturizer, and foundation from different natural companies - had some of the WORST offender essential oils in them!

🟣 Paula's Choice 🟣 was a company created around proven-safe skincare ingredients, so I immediately placed an order for these non-irritating skin care products instead. Sure enough, within weeks my skin calmed down and was feeling MUCH less irritated by the end of the day.

But after nearly two years of using that, I still wondered if there were anything more whole-foods and natural-based that would actually NOURISH my skin, not just prevent irritation.

Enter beef tallow balm. 🐂 Supposedly the closest to our own skin's fatty acid makeup, this promised a natural source of vitamins and a strong protective barrier for the skin.

Now the problem with this is most companies who make it like to add essential oils. 🚫 I found a supplier who does make a version with essential oils, but also one with NO essential oils. I ordered one in November and could not believe the difference in my skin after just one month of putting Whole Food nourishment on my face. 😮

My sunspots started clearing up, my skin felt firmer, and the beeswax included in the formula acted as a great primer, keeping eye makeup from creasing. In fact after several months of using this, I no longer wear foundation which is a first in like 3 or 4 years!

✳️NEW PRODUCT ALERT at Costco✳️

➡️Oats Over Night 🥣

I declare I should get commission on how many Costco products I promote😅 but I promise I don't, I just love all their healthy options lol!

This one was offered at a tasting, and while it is not currently on sale, $30 for 14 servings is actually pretty decent!

(I also found that only half a serving plus something else for breakfast like an egg and slice of Canadian bacon was incredibly filling - so there are ways to stretch it further.)
All you do is stir contents of the packet into your choice of milk, and refrigerate a few hours preferably overnight. It already contains whey & milk protein and superfoods like chia seeds, date powder, and flaxseeds.

It comes in two flavors: 🍪 Cookies and Cream, and 🍫 Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana.

Both flavors have all real-food ingredients, nothing artificial, and darn if I don't like it better than my own overnight oats 😅.

5 INCHES OF GROWTH IN 5 MONTHS?! 🙋‍♂️

As my clients already know, one of the categories I test for and clear is allergies to ~hormones~. This year I started testing for allergies to Growth Hormone, and each time when I found it in children they are behind in their height/size for their age range.

This year in July I cleared an allergy to growth hormone for a 12-yr-old boy. In December I saw him again and just about fell over in shock. 😱 He strode in so much taller I asked his mom how much he had gained, and she said 5 INCHES!!! I'd say that's making up for lost time😅😅.

Needless to say we were all quite thrilled.🥲🙌

Case study:
A woman who described herself as feeling like her nerves were constantly on edge and leading to emotional breakdowns over even the most trivial things, came into my office the other day. She said all of this had started 6 years ago when she had an extremely stressful year with a lot of family health issues and deaths in the family to deal with.
What we discovered? She had an allergy to the vagus nerve, which is the parasympathetic, calming branch of the nervous system. This was causing it to spaz out constantly, and in addition it was plagued with a virus, several kinds of parasites, and bacteria. In addition to this she was allergic to potassium, magnesium, and GABA, which are all calming. I got a definite sense this allergy had occurred 6 years prior when all of the life stress had happened.

All of this was leading to an overproduction of stress hormones and depleting her serotonin and dopamine. This autoimmune allergy is actually fairly common, however hers may have been one of the worst I had seen.💔 The good news is it is all fixable and we can clear all of the autoimmune allergies as well as give her body what it needs to kick out those infections and heal.

This is why I love figuring out and fixing root causes. 😊🙌 Her doctors had only wanted to put her on antidepressants, which would have fixed none of this.😔

I really wonder if chemicals like these trip the autoimmune allergies I consistently find to be the root causes behind ADHD:
1. Allergy to sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight branch; this causes the nerves to be constantly spazzing out and creating "squirrel" energy mentally and physically)
2. Allergy to magnesium (causes low levels of this calming mineral)
3. Allergy to GABA (causes low levels of this calming brain chemical).

Couple that with severely depleted gut flora from antibiotic use, which further lowers absorption of nutrients especially minerals, and everything in their body is bent towards hyperactivity and none of it towards being calm.

This is reversible however: all of these allergies can be cleared and the body brought back into a state of balance between calm and active. We have done it for many. 😊
