My next Postpartum Mom/Baby Series will be held this July. We are having SO much fun in our current class. In this series, you will learn simple, yet effective techniques to stretch and mobilize your baby to help them feel more comfortable in their bodies. This can help with feeding, overall mood, digestion, etc.

The second half of each class is spent rehabbing/mobilizing Mom! You will learn foundational movements to help come back into your body after the various changes brought about by pregnancy and birth.

And best of all, you get to be in community with other moms/babes ❤️❤️❤️

This is a 4 week series where we meet for 1 hour each week to learn ways to rehab your core and pelvic floor safely and effectively. During this class, I will also be teaching you how to massage and stretch your baby to help them feel more comfortable and happy in their bodies.

This class will be tailored to meet each patient and baby’s specific needs. This class will be held in Harrisonburg on Thursdays at 11am on the following dates: May 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th.

**This class is best for those between 5 weeks and 6 months postpartum**

I do not send invoices out until the week before class starts as I know that some babies aren’t even born yet and you may change your mind based on when you deliver. You can still save yourself a spot!

As we prepare for the kids to be home full-time beginning this summer (and for the foreseeable future as we are returning to homeschooling), I am niching down. I have had this ping in my heart over the past couple of months to reserve my energy for moms and babies. It feels like where I need to be in this season.

I am currently ONLY accepting new clients that are in the process of trying to conceive or who are currently pregnant. I am then committed to these clients and their babies through 1 year postpartum. If you do not fall in this category, but still need care, please reach out so I can help guide you to the right provider!

For those interested in working together, I offer 1 hour sessions in-person or virtually as well as prenatal and postpartum movement series that are held in Harrisonburg every couple of months.

Thank you to this community for your continued support 🤍🤍🤍

I am shifting in a subtle but also big kind of way. If you have followed along, you know that I have been a chiropractor since graduating from New York Chiropractic College in 2015. I got into chiropractic care because I loved learning about the body and wellness and found myself working with a chiropractor who seemed to be the only provider who could solve my “weird” hip injury.

I feel so grateful for my extensive education, but really since entering grad school, I felt a little out of place. I went into chiropractic school thinking I was going to learn a comprehensive way of serving my patients and I did in some ways, but I feel like SO MUCH weight was placed on the chiropractic adjustment and the power of an adjustment. I get that manipulation can be helpful, but I feel that our profession misses the mark by selling chiropractic adjustments as the end all be all.

Over the years, I have learned that my hands-on work is SO powerful in the healing process, but what I have seen time and time again is that what clients are doing OUTSIDE of our session together is even more important. Assessing movement and teaching clients new ways to move and feel safe and strong in their bodies is way more profound in reaching our overall goals. And I love this so much because I get to restore my clients’ faith in their body’s ability to heal as well as prepare for labor, delivery and postpartum. They get to take an active role in their own journey to health and do not need to become reliant on me long term. I point them back to themselves and offer support along the way.

In this season, I am specifically working with moms and babies from conception through their first year postpartum both individually and in a group setting through my prenatal and postpartum movement series.

With this, I feel that calling myself a chiropractor masks what I ACTUALLY do with my clients. I am a movement and wellness specialist. I analyze how you move and what your current lifestyle looks like in order to help implement changes to allow for your best life yet.

Hi friends!! I’ve been a little quiet on here, but felt up for a small check-in. I have been more intentional lately about quieting the noise so I can listen more clearly to what I am wanting and needing out of my life.

I find that it is so easy to get caught up in the “everyday-ness” as .is.a.realtor would say. Just like a lot of society, it’s easy for me to be in a constant state of distraction-checking email, checking social media messages (then falling into the scrolling trap), busying myself with plans, filling my ears with audiobooks and podcasts and voice messages any quiet moment I get.

As I think many of us are deep down (or at least how we are created to be), I NEED to feel deeply connected to myself in order to make the best decisions for my business, family and own personal life. This gets clouded for me when I am constantly surrounded by noise (even good noise!)

So I’m in a season of LISTENING. But in order to listen, I need to first allow space to get quiet. And this app DOES NOT condone either of these things. I will continue to pop in on occasion to share any news/updates and to check messages, but if you need to get in touch, you can always email me at drtaylor@lunawellnessco.com

Sending love!!!

Taylor ✨

Guys, I am SO excited about this workshop that I will be hosting on Friday, March 8th at 3pm.

I connected with a couple of months ago and I align so much with her approach to Nutrition. I asked if she would be interested in sharing her knowledge with our community and she agreed!

Elizabeth Newton is the owner and founder of She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who specializes in supporting women during pregnancy to maximize their energy and optimize their health.

This workshop will have a strong emphasis on the importance of protein intake during pregnancy. Pregnant women need A LOT more protein that the current guidelines recommend and many just aren’t eating enough.

Come learn about the benefits of eating more protein in pregnancy, strategies for getting enough, and tips to optimize your energy in pregnancy.

This will be a 1 hour workshop and is $20 to register. Save your spot by clicking the link on my profile. ✨

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲⁣

Chiropractic care can be extremely beneficial during pregnancy to help:⁣

✨Balance the pelvis ⁣

✨Prevent or decrease pain ⁣

✨Stabilize the core and pelvic floor in a time when the hormone 𝘙𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘹𝘪𝘯 is pumping through and making your joints and ligaments loose⁣

✨Prepare for labor and delivery ⁣

✨Optimize delivery ⁣

✨Set your body up for optimal postpartum recovery ⁣

As I say, my work is a blend of Chiropractic Care and Physical Therapy. I do not believe in adjusting your joints over and over during pregnancy or postpartum because your joints are likely pretty mobile due to 𝘙𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘹𝘪𝘯. I will mobilize when absolutely necessary but I do not use a cookie cutter “rack and crack” approach. ⁣

I focus more on bringing stability and symmetry back to the body through myofascial release as well as simple foundational exercises. ⁣

My general, loose recommendation for those who are not in acute pain is to be seen once a month until 32 weeks. At that time, it can be beneficial to come in once every other week until you get closer to delivery. ⁣

While this is my very loose recommendation, I am also open to patients coming in just one time before delivery to help with balancing the pelvis in preparation for delivery. I never shame, guilt, judge anyone for how they choose to use my care. ❤️⁣

Some patients just use me as they need me for things such as:⁣

✨Prodromal Labor ⁣

✨Breech Baby⁣

✨Transverse Baby⁣

✨Pain (p***c bone pain, sciatica, tailbone pain, hip pain, rib cage discomfort, and much more!

𝗜𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹⁣

Before I share my go-to’s I want to give a disclaimer and say that my recommendations will come with suggestions outside of supplements as well BECAUSE supplements can’t fix an unhealthy lifestyle. They can give a boost, but they work best when you are also working on the fundamentals :)⁣

I have each of my protocols available on my Fullscript dispensary. With each protocol, you may see multiple forms of a supplement-for example, I may give a couple different brands or forms of Vit C. I do this because some are more comfortable or familiar with a particular form AND it allows you to select the price point that feels comfortable for you.⁣

**Disclaimer** This is not medical advice. For specific recommendations relating to you and your family, I recommend speaking with your provider.⁣

Here are my go-to’s to help support the immune system for both children and adults:⁣

-Vit C (in form of liposomal vit C, acerola or ascorbic acid)⁣

-Vitamin D (preferably with vit K)⁣

-Zinc (but only for a short period as it can cause imbalances in copper when taken for long periods)⁣

-Raw Honey (can pour raw honey in a small mason jar with raw garlic and onion and let sit for a couple of hours, then place in fridge and take a tsp every couple of hours when you are sick)⁣

-Lemon water (vit c and great for liver support)⁣

-LMNT or Trace Minerals drops for a good electrolyte boost ⁣

-SUNSHINE!!!! If it’s cold outside, bundle up and get out there⁣

-Fresh Air: crack the windows in the house every so often to get some fresh air flowing in-the quality of our air in our homes has a huge impact on our overall health⁣

-Limit dairy and added sugar until you are feeling better⁣

You can find my preferred immune supps by visiting my profile. For my children, I break open my supplement capsules and shake a bit onto a spoon of raw honey. I don’t love all of the pediatric products because while the dosage is catered to children, they tend to have sweeteners and natural flavors etc. I prefer to just sprinkle a bit of my capsules into a smoothie, onto a spoonful of honey or even in water.

I am excited to announce that I will be hosting Hinde Haa ( )who is a HUGE source of inspiration to me. The work that she does with babies and feeding issues is like none that I have seen. She has a super holistic and practical approach to caring for babies and toddlers with regard to speech, swallowing and feeding issues.

Oral ties are becoming more and more prevalent (or we seem to be noticing them more) but not all ties are the same and it is important to do a thorough assessment of the tissue and the motor function of the jaw before deciding whether or not a release is warranted. Hinde is a master at assessing AS WELL AS performing soft tissue work to help either prevent a release or help with the efficacy of the release.

Please join Hinde Haa, MA, CCC-SLP, QOM, CFT, IBCLC for this course designed for lactation professionals and infant care providers to learn more about how to have a positive impact on feeding babies in the presence of oral ties.

February 3, 2024, 11:00-5:00, $300

Located at Plena Integrative Health Center ~ Harrisonburg, VA

To Register, please call or call 804-924-4047

Course objectives:

1. Learn how to identify tongue, lip, and buccal ties through a 3-part examination. Course includes hands-on practice.

2. Understand factors that determine the need for tongue tie release (not all ties need to be released!) and how to find a proficient release provider.

3. Gain knowledge regarding the importance of “bodywork”: What is bodywork and where can babies get it?

4. Learn exercises and strategies that can improve breast and bottle feeding prior to undergoing release.

5. Employ strategies to improve feeding when traditional techniques are not working.

This seminar is for anyone who works closely with the pediatric population (doulas, midwives, lactation consultant's, massage therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, pediatric dentists, craniosacral therapists, etc) and is wanting to learn more about this topic. I cannot wait to learn from Hinde. I have already learned so much from her and can't wait to see her work in-person.

Please pass this along to anyone you know who may benefit from this workshop
