"Don't believe everything you think. Your mental health is worth more than self-doubt and negative self-talk."

Remember, it's important to be kind to yourself and challenge negative thoughts that may be impacting your mental health. You are worthy and capable, and it's okay to seek help if you need it.

Paul said in Acts 26 (while standing before King Agrippa who could have taken his life) “I think myself happy”.
Think-Greek hēgeomai - to lead, to control, to influence
Happy - Greek makarios - blessed, fortunate

Paul was able to think himself happy due to an attitude (implied) of his standing with God of being blessed and he being gracious. Find all of the good things and be thankful! It works.

Researchers at Cornell University studied people over an extended period of time and found that 85 percent of what they worried about never happened. Moreover, the study found that 79 percent of the subjects handled the 15% that did happen better than they thought they could, and that they learned something from the situation that was valuable.

SO STOP WORRYING!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the most difficult truths to accept is that some people will never change. Will you?

Hey! All of you sorry parents that neglect your children, I have a question for you. Here goes... Do you care that your child, due to your neglect is:

- 25% more likely to experience teen pregnancy.
- Are more likely to engage in sexual risk taking behaviors, putting them at greater risk for STDs.
- Is more likely to abuse and neglect their children later, continuing your horrible cycle of abuse.
- In at least one study, about 80% of 21 year olds that were abused as children met criteria for at least one psychological disorder such as depression and anxiety.
- More likely to consider su***de because of their pain and sadly some follow through with this horrid thought.
- 1 out of 3 children who have been neglected will develop a substance abuse disorder.

So while you are in your own world, watching Netflix, working, doing your own thing, which in your broken mind is more important than embracing those precious lives that you brought into this world.

Some of us care. Pastors, churches, student pastors, teachers, mental health providers and other family members will try very hard to put together the broken hearts and minds of your children that you could do if you were not so selfish.

DO YOU CARE?

Those tormented souls who are self-destructing are not necessarily meaning to destroy themselves. They are trying to destroy something inside of them that does not belong!

About me:

My counseling experience includes treating adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My practice is highly individualized to address common symptoms associated with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I treat my clients as unique individuals with their own distinctive concerns impacting their lives. I greatly honor the trust I am given by them to help them navigate difficult times and unexpected life changes. I believe the decision to start the journey towards healing and reconciliation demonstrates a great deal of courage and resolve. Together we can discern a path towards a more balanced and joyful life. Emotional/spiritual growth and symptom reduction are the primary focus of practice.

I accomplish this by helping clients understand how their internal life is interacting with outside stressors causing discomfort and impeding growth. I also endeavor to help clients recognize destructive patterns in personal relationships that may be keeping them from further healing. In addition to private practice experience, I also have pastoral/spiritual counseling experience.
