I love these beautiful intentions very much. This is the type of consciousness I’m choosing to allow in and cultivate into the days and weeks ahead.
As Krishnamurti so poignantly shares: “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”
I couldn’t agree more. But living in a culture that so often dismisses, belittles, devalues, and oppresses women, children, and vulnerable equal members of society can be incredibly challenging to navigate.
So, how do we show up when dysfunctional systemic standards are widely accepted? When we don’t see enough living models of what constitutes being truly healthy, and not just getting by? To move from survival to genuine thriving?
I’m not saying that this path is easy by any means. Yet, I do believe it’s both possible and steeped in priceless value.
Here are several tips that I’ve found to be extraordinarily helpful on my personal healing journey. Through sharing, I hope they may also give you support on your own journey to thrive:
✨ Create your own positive culture of health.
🦋 Avoid taking health guidance from anyone who hasn’t overcome the topic they’re trying to influence you on, and is not engaged in doing their own inner work.
🤲🏽 Surround yourself with people who truly see, celebrate, and value you.
🌹 Listen to and honor the holistically intertwined needs of your body, mind, and soul.
💖 Trust your soul’s inner voice above noisy crowds.
🌈 Believe in your infinite transformative healing potential. Take meaningful steps to manifest this vision into reality.
📚 Take time to educate yourself. Apply critical thinking while making healthcare choices. Learn to discern trustworthy, quality research from poor, unreliable research.
💫 Run from any paradigm that doesn’t let you fully, authentically express yourself, and teaches you to buy into fear, hatred, and victimization.
💐 Trust the power, life force, and efficacy of natural medicine abundantly given from nature and the earth. There’s more than plenty for everyone.
🍒 Be yourself. The world needs you and your gifts just exactly as you are.
I’d love to hear from you with any reflections.
